One. The blue spots were only on the still from the onboard, it's clear later in the onboard if you play in slow motion there is no one further on. Only person was the black spot with the reflective hat/flash camera.

It does seem like the kind of place you would set up a low angle gopro, but that still looks very bad indeed. Watch the onboard at .25x on youtube, I think you can see the black spot standing up just as the car starts to angle away. I think I'm done looking at this forensically. I hope we get hopeful news soon.
Remember once in Estonian Champs rally in Paide. We were standing inside the corner. Then a father with a kid who was around 8-10 years old went to stand on the outside corner. I yelled at him that this is too dangerous place, take your kid away from there. He just stared at me awkwardly. Luckily last 0 car threw so much rocks at them that they went away before first competition car came.

I can not believe the guy survives. Two huge impacts. (car and barrier)
Is the spectator ok ?
Nobody knows at the moment
Anyone know what will happen to the stage times?
There is absolutley no excuse to stand outside of the icy corner in complete dark trying to make a photo....
You cant put safety marshall next to every spectator, but it seems there were group of people there, probably his friends...
You have to watch your back or at least someone does it for you. Its just simply stupid.
Not 100% sure for the moment but in France, some sources has mentionned he died
According to french forum, the man that was hit was an acreditated photographer and apparently he didn't survive. Don't shoot me if this info is not correct.
Yes, on forum-rally they are saying one man was confirmed dead on scene, but lets wait for more concrete news.
Rumours in Belgium say it's a Belgian photographer who was hit, and died... I hope it isn't true...
Tommeke_b is ok.
Normally they give the slowest time to all who didn't finish the stage, but the difference here is just 0,7 so they can cancel it - will be the same. Most important now is will they cancel the second stage (and the whole event). Live text in wrc.com says only thisQuote:
Thu 21:14 - Schedule update
Crews are being directed to Bayons - the start of Stage 2. The stage is due to start at 2257hrs.
I doubt he survived... If the promoter is starting to delete videos and being very hush hush about it that's a clear sign. Also Andres screen grab pretty much tell the story.
I fear this is a very dark end to the beginning of our season.
Wouldn't surprise me a bit if he was an acredited photographer. I have voiced my safety complaints about them before...
So itīs two guys? The black one, now cited as photographer, and the guy in the blue jacket, who fell off the rock.
Was wondering if they might cancel the event if these stories are true.
Videos disappearing off YouTube as fast as they're going up. Not a good sign.
I just want the event to go as normal, could not care less about idiots pushing their luck.
