wow - now there's a cool picture! :)
It is obviously a big wing era shot of an updated old car...
my guess:
Bently Warren
Eagle-Offy
1972 Indy
Driver-Bently Warren
Car-Eagle-Offy
Year-1972
Track-Indy
Correct driver, correct car, wrong track, wrong year.
Trenton
1973
We have the correct year. Wrong track. Hint-it's under 2-miles.Quote:

I'll give it to Chris.
Yes, it was Bentley Warren in the Bay State Racing Eagle-Offy at the 1973 Bettenhausen 200 race at Milwaukee (West Allis), WI :D
Chris you're up...
I see we're up over a 1000 posts again. What # did we get to in the old forum?

ok, here is another older one. I actually do not know the driver or track for sure (I think it is likely Indy). So name the car and year and possible drivers.....
Driver-Carl Williams
Car-McLaren M15-Offy
Year-1970
Track-Indy

Lloyd Ruby
Phoenix
1975
Eagle Offy
???
really I was just searching for a number 7 Eagle and this is the first I found!!
Ruby did drive this car in 1975. But it's not the driver in the photo or the correct year.Quote:

hmm, ok - lets go with Gordon Johncock at the first Phoenix race in 1974 - kinda of looks like his style of helmet...
question is - if it is Gordy why weren't they in STP colors for this race???
Right Track. Wrong Year and Driver.Quote:

I am pulling up big blanks here - how about Steve Krisloff practicing in a backup car at the first CART race in 1979???
Wrong Year and Driver.Quote:

ok, nice hint - I think I have it - although I cannot get the numbersto match...
Arlene Hiss
1976
Phoenix
Eagle-Offy
problem is she raced #51 - guessing this is rookie test or practice car....
