I nominate both end of stage commentators as annoying, let the drivers settle and atleast take their helmut off
Yes, Solberg won Tour de Corse in 2003, albeit it was a wet one, and he was on Pirellis, which were good on wet Tar.
I too would like to see a few more Fiesta S2000's....which was something they mentioned on the commentary.
Hanninen will sweep the floor in SWRC this year !
1. Agree - last year it looked OK in Mikkelsen's hands but I'd like to see PG or another experienced driver in it.Quote:

4. May get our wish this afternoon!
5. He won Corsica 2003 in the rain due to Loeb's bad tyre choice. Petter's speed is good if you get rid of the first stage where he lost 30s. New car, new genre, his least favourite rally so all things considered its good.
P. Solberg only tarmac win was Tour de Corse in 2003. When he became WRChampion Was it him or the pirelli tyres on wet?Quote:

Interesting, Vouilloz was on tv and i saw him at the finish baut can't find his time in the classification. Same with Gardeimeister. Does anyone knows why?
So it's look like results are not fully updated....
But the female Eurosport Interviewer in the depot is very good in more than one way ! ;-)
Chris Mellors said on rallyradio that PG Andersson will do full program on IRC this year with Proton
Do anyone have a current weather report from SS 7 ?
Snowing actualy in St Jean en Royans the snow stay on the road temperature -1 wind 35 kmh,Quote:

Snow, Finally
Is Petter leader tonight?????
Quite a different weather, at least at the end of the stage. May it continue.
This is where things get exciting - snow tyres or not? I heard Solberg is planning to use whatever Hanninen doesn't as he needs to gamble!
Petter won because he had the most points over a season, Petter also showed last year that he can drive well on tar, he only won once on it because he drove a Subaru for so long and also because Loeb won nearly every time on tar
Speaking of whom, I have not had a chance to see Eurosport since the IRC began so the live timings are important to me. And I noticed on SS6, Petter must have been on a flyer because he finished 4 secs ahead of Juho Hanninen who has been very strong in the early goings - winning three of the stages.
Guy Wilkes was also strong in finishing ahead of the guy behind (Delecour). Guy finished just under 6 seconds ahead of the Frenchman who I have thought to be better than Wilkes.
Are those two gaps as big as I am assuming?
No. It is Hanninen. But Petter is 15.1 seconds behind Juho. So if Petter can find some good pace I think I may well close the gap on Hanninen. I don't think he will take him but I reckon he can close the gap.Quote:

Quite some snow on the road towards the end of stage. Petter -3 on the split!
Delocour on studs, suddenly -1.09 ahead of the first finisher! Petter on intermediates, very interesting to see what pays off in the end!
Hot moment for Petter
Just under 56 seconds though behind Bouffier. What tyres were Bouffier on?Quote:

I think Bouffier had Snow without studs.
Solberg have got massive problems....
What are conditions like on the following stage and is there a tyre service between stages?
The gap is not 15,1 seconds but 51,1, so it wil be more difficult, but it is reported to be snowing now.Quote:
