But you have to remember that while the WRC cars have become easier to drive, the speeds have increased. Risto Mannisenmäki was onboard in JML's tests and he described the speeds as "very significantly increased from my active days".Quote:

But maybe Meeke could show us how it's done and win WRC next year. Playing Playstation is so easy for everyone. ;)
Of course, on the highest level, it is also about skills of driver. Good drivers from WRC will be (or should be) fast also in S2000. But not lot of "average drivers", who can fight for podium, top 5 or top 8 in WRC...

Soon is the Bologna Motorshow(Memorial Bettega, etc)...usually great entrylist of international drivers with WRC cars :)
Juha Kankkunen on entrylist of Prealpi Mastershow this week-end :)

What happened to Robert Kubica on SS2 Driver Rally Show today
http://www.cronocarservice.it/tempor...caparziale.asp
Tom: Kubica had problems with fuel pump..
Robert Kubica and Dimitris Amaxopoulos are on entrylist of this week-end's Rally Internazionale Cioccheto :)

Strange though...on Rallylink forum I've read Roman Odlozilik should have entered the event on a Fabia S2000 but he isn't on entrylist :s
I can't see any reason why he would go there...
Does anyone know what happened in Rally Internazionale il Ciocchetto??? 4 stages are cancelled...
tolis11: were canceled due to a lot of snow
Thanks Ondra WRC!!!!
Great news for all Marco Zannier fans !
Zannier was invited for the traditional Vallelunga Rally School at the end of the year alongside 5 other drivers. This is an invitation by the Italian Federation for the 6 young drivers who showed the most during the year and of course Marco was one of them :)
He is currently finding the budget for an Fiat 500 R3T for next year
Greetings from the Marco Zannier Croatia Fan Club ;)
Piero Liatti was his teacher..
On 6th january there will be the 2010 Expo Rally in Italy where many teams and officials will announce their program and new cars for the coming season :)

Go go Zannier :D
This smells more and more bad for ABARTH's future if Basso is looking at Skoda :s
Basso received some other offers already a long time a go but he wishes to stay with Abarth if it's possible.
Looks like Marco Signor is becoming Ucci's teammate at CIR in the Racing Lions team
I so much wish Travaglia to become Ucci's teammate after what he did in private 207(and also in Grande Punto and Fabia) :(
The final act of last year all Italian rally championships and cups (CIR, TRA, TRT, Coppa Italia....) was selection of the best rally driver and the greatest young hope (Il Personaggio dell Rally 2009). And the winner is, surprisingly, but no less deserved-Elwis Chentre ! Second is Luca Pedersoli (both-him and Elwis were regular drivers with WRC cars in TRA), this is a good indication that rally fans still love these types of cars most. Only third is Paolo Andreucci as a winner of CIR 2009 (and is definitely a much better driver as Elwis or Luca...).
The biggest hope among young drivers is from San Marino-Alex Raschi.
Very strange! I don't thin Pedersoli's results were so good last year...
Don't forget that Pedersoli is by far the most attractive driver in Italy, so if that's some of the criteria I'm not surprised
About Pede... :D

Any news regarding Fiat rally future? In CIR their, now half-official, team will be run by Trico.
It's sad that the first real S2000 car is on the edge and almost falling...
Ronde Val d'Orcia this sunday, with 5 S2000 cars(Broccoli, Batistini, Ciuffi, Zanchi and Piccolotto) ;)
I agree it's so sad, especially that they have two such great drivers - Basso and Rossetti... On Autoklub.pl thay said it is possible for Basso to do a CIR/ERC programme, but nothing is confirmed. Too bad there's no official FIAT team anymore :(Quote:

He drives preety good ;)
If he wouldn't so much time on attractiveness he could easily be on the pace of Chentre.Luckily , for him the fans come on first place ;)
And Aris Vovos will appear in some Italian events this year and probably with new car!Quote:

Paolo Andreucci will drive 207 S2000 in the official Peugeot Italia team. I don't know about any other drivers.

Luca Cantamessa(Cantaluka)in a Grande Punto S2000 this week-end at the Ronde di Andora ;)
His main contenders will be Gioachino Corona(GP S2000) and Alessio Pisi(207 S2000)
Also 11 FA7 Clios entered so without any WRCs we might see a podium finish ;)
;( condolences to Franco's family and friends :(
R.I.P Franco.....
