I fear that making R5 a base for new WRC will only rise price of R5 not vice versa. Maybe I don't fear... I'm quite sure about that :dozey:

You are missing the point. Even if the FIA makes the R5 category the top one, it would be just a matter of months before all the brands involved start to make the cars expensive again. We have a very good example with the new WRC cars. From a privateer point of view running a WRC 2000T or a WRC 1600T is virtually the same. You know see that you can run a top WRC 2000T (C4) in regional events for much cheaper price. The problem is way beyond the cost of cars.
Opel with R5 from 2015/2016, this time with official entry!!!!
They officially return to rally sport!

You're right about that indeed... FIA should already put a solid price on every part itself to prevent that, and that's not realistic anymore...Quote:

That must be called a success!!
Any source of Fiat, VW and Mini wanting to make an R5 (in your maybe-list)?
In "very maybe" you can add pretty much any car-manufacturer, and that would not make it less realistic than it is now... ;)
Did you just name all car brands you know?Quote:
