I havn't attended a rally before but as it is nearby was going to head up to the state forest and take a look at the Welshes stage from the adjacent state forest with a mate. I was expecting a similar setup to the NW200 where you can purchase grandstand seating or just find yourself a spot around the track. Looking on the net however it looks like they want you to fork out a small fortune to view from only a couple of select locations. I understand why you cannot trek onto private property to view the rally, but so long as you're in a safe location surely they cant stop you viewing from public land (state forests/national parks) can they? The roads are open up to the track area according to the rta. Are we not allowed to park and walk into the forest?
