No, that place has not been driven in competition before, and during recce the cars did not jump there because off the speed limit, many others did hurt their back too, in the same place because of that. A jump is not a problem if co-driver know it in advance.

Remember that in Finland 2005 Marcus drove the fastest time to the Vellipohja stage where Timo hurt his back. Bosse was driving without pacenotes for the majority of the stage.

Here in Finland we have this thing called "tiesilmä". ;)

I also remember the incident (Acropolis 2002) where Petters steering wheel almost came off, and Petter drove without pacenotes as Phil first found the tools, then tightened the steering wheel while driving. Unbeliaveble pictures:

I think they got 2nd on stage despite this.

Spot on. Daniel Elena was short of breath for the next kilometre or so after the jump.

I can't see any point of it. Henning is used to use pacenotes in his native language and now with a german accented english speaking austurian co driver, whose wrc experience is limited by sitting alongside a sole driver called Manni has no point whatsoever.

Noticed on the SWRC thread a post which has Michael Kosciuszko running with Dynamic World Rally Team in a Ford Fiesta. Is this official?
