God dammit.
Too bad for both Latvala and championship.
On a side note the conditions with more grip suit both Hyundai and C3 better with good time from both Neuville and Meeke. Breen also fast in first 1/2. For sure drivers also make a difference on this one.
Great example here with Østberg that sideways isnt the fastest way. Great to watch though and that jump was amazing again.
I guess Ostberg is doing it right thing this season. Since he's driving for the private team, he doesn't need to worry about manufacturer points. And when he hits issues or just doesn't have the speed to be in first 5 places, instead of just nursing the car to finish in some forgettable place, he just goes for maximum media exposure, for which sponsors will like him more than if he just did the safe boring drive.
His jumps and spectacular drifts will secure him the place in highlights videos and other media coverage, which is always nice for sponsors and the team.
Seems to be that every rally Toyota have problem car.... at previous rally it was a Juho car. Now Juho have issue free run and it should happen something.
The Toyota's only flaw has now surfaced for good: reliability. Structurally it's sturdy but it's clearly prone to engine and electrical issues

Too bad. Having been offline for a while (because roaming is too expensive in Ukraine; when do you become part of the EU @KKS ;)?) and then this happens :(. I can't imagine how Jari-Matti feels right now.
Things are now looking a bit better for M-Sport. Evans could yet get some very good manufacturer points and even Tanak should move up another place past Meeke.
And there are still PS points possible.
If it finish like this it would be maiden podium for all three drivers!
I take back what I said questioning what Ogier would have said if he'd inherited the lead today. Maybe while driving he wouldn't have been as humble as Lappi but he replied to Latvala's tweet, saying that he deserved more. He showed support, at least.

Currently Esapekka's average speed this rally is 126.8 km/h. If that stands it will be the new fastest rally, Kris Meeke's 126.6 here last year is the fastest.
What's Sunninen's plan for rest of the year?
On one side it would be nice to see him drive other events. On the other side I am afraid of him getting too fast into full time wrc and suffering Hirvonen/Evans/Camilli/Lefevbre issues.
WRC2 and maybe WRC at Wales event if standings of WRC2 allow
Paddon hits the stone inside the road

Aaaaad Tanak takes Meeke for 7th.. :)
Meeke has damaged the front of the car
Meeke - FR puncture.
Problems stick to him.
same rock as Paddon hit on 1st loop?
Go Elfyn, keep the pressure on ! :)
Sounds like Mads was verrrrrry lucky this time... :disturb:
