i do not think anyone praises mobile phone videos taken from the outside of the corner at the same level with the car....

This is no spectator I think:

But the one in blue is :(
I looked again. To me it still seems the guy was on a much higher position than the car. You can actually see the car lights pointing at him on .27s, just when he's falling. The car never hits him.
Anyway, hope he's ok and other guys won't take that kind of risk. Spectators should enjoy the spectacle without ruin it.
I'm afraid it's involving 2 spectators, one being lounched over the rock, other (the one you can see on the onboard after crash) is on the ground on the (stupid) position they were.
N.O.T, I'm not so sure calling someone who may be seriously injured 'stupid' is appropriate right now. I am just hopeful that he will be ok and the sport can use this as an example to teach others. Please leave the detrimental comments out, at least until we know the guy is ok.
And, yeah, goes without saying we all want safe rallys, all the time.
just look at this https://youtu.be/tOidlkMs6JY - on a onboard video its clearly visible that spectator was in a very wrong place...
The one you see from onboard, can never be the same as the one you see on the shot whit car on the side? or am i seeing thins wrong now?
I confess I took similar risks in the first stage of a live rally and hillclimb (and I'm sure most of you have also done it at least once) when enthusiasim is high to the sky, first car passing by, second car passing by, oh I can get a better angle of this... unfortunately the bad luck strikes when you least expect it. Let's hope the rally will continue on schedule, cause I am sure the guy would want so.
Now it seems promoters are flagging the videos on YouTube, and for me that cannot be good :(.
Things are simple if a spectator was hit by paddon and judging from the accident then he was plain stupid and sitting on an amazingly wrong place, if he was standing on the hill and the shockwave dropped him then its just bad luck, but if he dropped from a high place he would be ok with maybe some broken bones and it doesn;t look like that.

SS1 UPDATE: it's reported that a person was involved in Paddon's accident. We are liaising with the organisers to have more news.
U kiddin Hyundai?
He is stupid no matter what happen. Hope nothing will happen but he is stupid and put other people like Paddon in a very bad situation.
Him and the organizer that should have kicked his ass out of there.
End of story.

Have tyo admit that I've ended up in a stupid spot or two. This was one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGFNbeQ4t8Q
Chap in a blue coat that's to the left of the car at 9 seconds. The spot wasn't too bad for watching, but there was no decent escape route. When the accident started I turned to run, went a few feet and there was a fence there. Tried getting back towards the stage but slipped just as the car hit a tree. Very, very close to being a Darwin Award. My old man was stood next to me and didn't move a muscle throughout, just waited to see which way the car was going. Learnt a lesson that day because we'd noticed that it wasn't the best spot and had agreed to move "when we've finished this cup of coffee".
There is a person in green high vis vest in the onboard, not 3m from the black spot where the guy seems to be sitting... steward not doing their job?
Heli is good news... so there was some life in him, if you understand me...
So, we have 1 or 2 involved people in that accident?
