Nice drive by hirvonen as well on the power stage.
Championship standings (if I've calculated right ;) )
1. M. HIRVONEN 46
2. S. LOEB 37
3. J. LATVALA 31
4. M. OSTBERG 28
5. P. SOLBERG 23
6. S. OGIER 15
7. H. Solberg 8
8. P. ANDERSSON 6
9. N. AL-ATTIYAH 6
10. K. RAIKKONEN 4
11. M. PROKOP 4
12. M. WILSON 2
13. J. HÄNNINEN 2
14. K. AL QASSIMI 1
15. F. VILLAGRA 1
Yesssssss, Loeb won!!! Congra to him and the whole team. Again, he showed who the master is!! Without no shadow of a doubt....
About this rally: as it showed, this new cars are not so realible as they were on Sweden. There are still many details to work on. Sorry for Ogier. Anyway, Mikko again in his style, no attack, yust crusing, as we said, this is no way to be a champion. I expected more from him.
So, still a beautiful day for Citroen fans!!
See you in Portugal.
Another 1,2,3 like it was in Mexico? :-P Well, seems that Citroen is fast but car still has a lot of small problems. So, incidents are very likely to happen.
Well, if you compare Citroen and Ford speed in Mexico and this year, then it looks quite promising for Portugal :-)
well 1-2-3 is going to be easy...1-2 guaranteed....maybe latvala will fight with Solberg, but in portugal he crashes quite a lot.
Speed and driving wise Ogier and Loeb are unbeatable with the citroen....of course people can cry and protest and wish for accidents but as everything in life those who are trully great in the end they manage to come on top 99% of the time.
Unofficial Results:
1) Loeb [Citroen] 3:53:17,0
2) Hirvonen [Ford] +1:38,4
3) Latvala [Ford] +2:23,9
4) Solberg, P. [Citroen] +7:18,4
5) Ostberg [Ford] +8:43,5
6) Solberg, H. [Ford] +9:50,0
7) Villagra [Ford] +48:17,2
8) Block [Ford] +1:04:04,7
Since this has never been a great rally for the Fords,
I think will have to wait till Portugal to see.
Mikko drowe wisely not flashy. No point to
push in any case. If he has the speed
why show it here. Now he can suprise us all in Portugal.
If he doesn't have the speed then this was a great result
for a slow driver.
It was very promising to win the power stage,
but as the drivers usually say:
We'll see

Thanks..
Hey, You should take into account also SWRC drivers. So, Villagra got the last point. Those you write are correct for manufacturers championship
63 wins, amazing..
For some reason I totally cracked up when I went to wrc.com and saw this. :D

I've never liked Mexico for some reason. But it was a pretty interesting rally this time, terrible differences though.

I am very happy that Loeb won!
What is "Classement Top Scratchs" ?Quote:

Loeb wins Mexico - Mikko takes 'Power stage' win
Martin Prokop (CZE): “I’m very, very happy. Happy we finished in front of Škoda in particular. We got
important Championship points. The only problem was with bad set-up on Friday, but Saturday and Sunday
everything was perfect. This year the competition in the SWRC is strong, so every point is important.”
He is Czech and it seems that he doesn't like Škoda. :P
Hänninen commented to Finnish News Agency on his roll: "I tried to catch the drivers in front of me on the last three stages, but that didn't quite succeed. On penultimate stage we rolled. It happened on the road and we ended up on tyres. Once dust was settled we continued. It took only 14 seconds and car was perfectly ok. Afterwards, few kilometres before stage finish rear tyre punctured and we lost a lot of time there."
For me the only problem is that without Juhos problems he d need binoculars to see him.Quote:

Loeb would surely have won anyway but i dont think that Ogier would have been that far behind.
By the way, when I saw Hanninen´s time loss, then I was sure it was some kind of spin or smth and when I saw the final splits then I thought that probably puncture due to the spin or some kind of fuel problem like Kruuda had twice. But I could not imagine that he had a roll in 15 seconds:-)Quote:

Can you add manufacturers scratch times as well? Right now it is easy to calculate, but as the numbers are growing, it is getting harder and harder.
Ogier's off is on the citroen-wrc site (column last videos).

pretty unlucky the impact didn't look that bad...
Seems that the wheel was turned out to get back on the road and then he hit something solid. When the wheel is turned out, then it is pretty fragile.Quote:

While fighting only with Loeb (or Loeb + Solberg (UK, France)) with the Fords far behind. Duval does come to my mind again. Wonder what happens if Ford will keep on leading the manufacturers champ., will Quesnel tell Ogier to stop chasing Loeb? And will Ogier get in line?
What has happened? Nasser Al-Attiyah excluded?

Maybe he checked into service instead of going into regroup? Haha
