That was at least one horrible model they have made! To me that looked more like some old Datsun than a MK1.

Did anyone here play V-Rally 3? Can you remember the career game play?
You join small team/car.. Then move to a WRC car and get offer from teams... I use to drive the Corolla for 6-7-8 seasons and win win win like Loeb does now. Then on a chance change teams to a Mitsu Evo WRC 7 (god I love that car) have a crap season or two... Then work my way back to the top to a new team ie Ford and win again! Wish there could be a game like that!
Jnrs, then PWRC then SWRC... Then WRC for at least 10 seasons!
So far I'm in WRC2 driving the Road to WRC and drove an ex WRC Subaru for the first time... Forgot what level/career year..
I am playing WRC 2 on ps2. Full difficulty with Radstrom. **** it is hard!!! Not in the top 10...
I will be interested to see if Blackbean differentiates between the 01B and the 01A (in terms of performance and speed) that Nobre drives...if so I will be dead keen to see how hard it would be to clock WRC3 with the green pig
For your Information, Blackbean Is no longer envolved with WRC3. Milestone Is both developer & publisher ;)
I loved V-rally 3's career mode! Very entertaining and the most realistic rally career mode to date. Too bad the handling was kind of crap, but other wise a very good game.
Man, you're joking right? That game is a breeze (easy as pie). :)Quote:

I wish I had a PS2 again. I haven't played that game since the end of 2006...!
Have you seen g z i i . n e t - accueil ? That site is amazing with a list of times players have done. Seeing the times by swissplayer and co showed me what was possible and my driving went to another level! I even "won" 3 rallies (OMGosh!!!) but the entries for those rallies (Cyprus etc) was very low and much less quality (no offence). I am RJB and usually driving a Hyundai Accent or Mitsubishi Lancer.
What I hated about those games, and CMR2 though, was having to work through the intermediate difficulty first before gaining access to Expert mode. I'm glad it was fixed from WRC4 and hope it never appears on the Milestone games...
Some Tips for WRC2 (PS2):
If you slide into the barrier, just get out of the throttle altogether, steer out, then reapply the throttle. Don't strain to save every tenth. Just be calm, cos the car gets "tangled" in the barriers if you stay on the throttle. It's crazily annoying. I almost wanna shout just thinking of the memories!
If you stay outta trouble and just let the car do the work, you should do pretty well. You don't need every tenth. Aim more to just stay on the road, and slow down as much as you need to to stay on the road. The times should then come to you. It's surprising.
If you think about it, the AI cars are not driving at impossible speed. It's surprising how slowly they would be driving if you could see them. But they are driving (quite slowly) on rails and don't make mistakes, and that's where they're getting all their time from.
Most of all, don't go wide and DO NOT MAKE THE TYRES SCREECH. Nothing seems to cost performance as much as tyre wear. It makes a huge difference driving with the tyres in mind.
If you do crash, don't lose your rag. Just accept it happens and focus on going forwards.
(Some of these are pretty basic, but they turned me from a crasher into a pro - well someone who can win every stage on every rally with ease anyway)
Now I think of it, I wouldn't mind seeing what tips other people have, for this game or any other.
I use Xbox 360 for WRC2... The car handles better when turning either a 2/3/4 type corner if you actually USE the brake then letting go of the accelerator to guide the car through the corner... I've begun to use the normal brake on hairpins and the car slides, using Handbrake slows the car way down... Give it a shot an it controls the car better too!
Yes I have not played this game in a good few years. I have won titles playing WRC1,3,4 on hard. I am not used to the PS2 controller after so long with a PS3/XBox 360 controller! Thanks for the advice though. In WRC2 I can win the title very easily on all other levels but just adpating.Quote:

For WRC1,2 and now 3 on the PS3/XBox I usually win the title on full difficulty although I do use resets.
I look forward ot hearing more advice from you.
Yes I have also noticed this. If I do not slow down fully-then use handbrake I ****ing slide off the road. Much better in a lot of cases not to try the handbrake too much.Quote:
