The inside of the pit wall looks like the old boiler plate used at Pocono too. I say it's Pocono.

sorry for the delay - here is a new one - talk about the haves and have nots of racing......
Drivers: #20 Gordon Johncock, #97 Jerry Miller
Cars: #20 Phoenix-Cosworth, #97 King-Chevy
Track: Phoenix International
Year: 1980
Johncock hits the wall a few seconds later in Turn 1
Almost - driver of the #97 is different...
Was that Phoenix the basis of the 1981 Coyote? I seem to remember someone saying that before??
Not sure of the driver since Miller drove at Phoenix, Roger Mears drove at Pocono.Quote:

I don't were the other cars were built or by whom.
duh, sorry , I mis-informed you - the track is also wrong - that'll help with the driver!!
I guess it's Roger Mears in the #97 Del Ray Marine and judging from the tyre marks, it's a short oval. So, Milwaukee ?
krud - I forgot who it was now!! I'll have to go look it up....... ;)
ok, it is Milwaukee in 1980 and the one car is Johncock - the other is a King Chevy.
The race is the FIRST race at Milwaukee in 1980 (Rex Mays) and this was the driver's only Indycar start....
