Bruno Thiry is also from the Oostkantons. Last year we did the finish of SS Sankt Vith in Lommersweiler his birthplace for his 50th birthday.

Now we can see if Ostberg is able to beat Al-Qassimi, the gap is around 1min50. First run that stage, Ostberg was 2min13 faster.
Strange that there is not a thread depth limit on gravel tyres. Like Novikov got a penalty in Spain last year on the DMAC tarmac tyres.Quote:

We are a little off-topic, but Fast Freddy was born in Millen, a small village close to Tongeren and that is reasonably far from Roeselare. It is about the border between Flemish and French speaking part of Belgium.Quote:

Al-Qassimi push hard. He is on Split 3 much more faster against Ostberg then in first run, so it could be, he save his 9th Overall!
Neuville stopped now, seems like it is over for him.

Shouldn't the stage be live on RTP1 now?
Why Kuipers didnt start now? He should be on the road before Mikkelsen. I like to see him finsih 7th, great result for him, never thought!

42 seconds for Al-Qassimi, overall in front of Ostberg, at split 6 ...

I'm not sure how it is in case of gravel events but for asphalt there is definitely the requirement for minimum depth coming from public road rules (but that's more a question of accidental police check or something). Also the single-pattern asphalt tyres used in WRC (and since Tour de Corse probably also in ERC) are road legal, they have road homologation.Quote:

Look at the opening split for Seb Ogier !!!
Edit: it is disappeared now, he was on -13,4 sec
Ogier won't fight for 3 points :D
HS Ogier!!!
First split not serious, same as at first run.
Well.. seems it's been corrected.
Sordo overtook Neuville at stage
Technically, you also must have for example all wheels on and working headlights but how often rally cars have forayed on public traffic with less than four wheels or crashed fronts?Quote:

Kuipers? Very bad if he dont finish ...
Where is Kuipers??
Kuipers retired due to electircal problem
Ostberg passed Al-Qassimi, and if Kuipers retire, Mads will be 8th overall.
Since 2006 or 2007 crews are being disqualified for driving on three wheels on public roads at least in WRC it happened quite many times. It's too visible and there were problems with that with local police in the past. Lights are quite a small problem in the daylight so I guess nobody really cares.Quote:

I know, that's why I used past tense in "how often rally cars have".Quote:

I understand and agree. I just said that such rule theoretically exists and its violation may be punished if somebody complains not that it's generally checked and punished all the time.Quote:
