Ott Tanak dissapoints again a bit. I've always suported him and I know it's his first year but come on, he makes mistakes in the beggining of the rally and still manages to bin it afterwards. Then looses motivation completely and that's that. I think again Citroen is a bit ahead with Neuville, who is starting to be very fast however with the ocasional hickups.

Mikko is a professional. He won't, he will slow down in SS18 to make sure him and Seb can do the Power stage without having to worry about the final classification

I think it is very unfair to make Hirvonen finish 2nd, because it was Citroens fault that he was disqualified in Portugal, so he should be allowed to fight for the win.

To say Sordo or Hirvonen are not allowed to win is not realy correct. Correct would be to say that they are not allowed to fight for the win to protect perfect citroen results. I personally think that if they would be allowed to fight, Loeb would still win.

Solberg still has the pace to win rallies, he just needs some better luck and a works Citroen, oh, but that wouldn't mean he could win.

whoever wins, without a good fight, it is boring and this is what matters most for the sport.
boring rallies → less spectators → less tv coverage → less sponsors → less teams and manufacturers → less talented drivers → death of sport.

Totally agree. :)

Citroen has been like a programmed machine this weekend, Loeb programmed to win, and Mikko for 2nd place.

pretty simplistic logic... and totally wrong.

Competition is a plus but most people follow a sport because they like the sport itself... if Loeb leaves or start losing, rallying is not going to get any better numbers if it doesn't change its core.

IMO, Mikko moving to Citroen was a very good thing. With VW in next year, if Petter can stick around with a works ride for a few more years, and if mini can get their **** together, things should start getting interesting again.

i would rather say they are not allowed to win if there's not at least 1 other car between loeb and first place.

Strange thing is that after its day one curses the Fiestas seems to go as rockets without problems...
