Also nice to see that (in well over a year since I last used it) the wrc.com splits service is still terrible.

I remember Mäkinen haveing another cigaret livery for Rally Australia. I think it was Winfield replacing Marlboro. In F1 and MotoGP there are tons of examples...Quote:

Only way Mikko is able to win is something have to happen to Loeb and that suck too. Nobody wants that.
It doesn't help there's just 4 stages tomorrow. Hardly fitting for the final leg to decide a world title.Quote:

Well, at least Mikko is heading the right direction again with the splits. Too bad they're only zero points at the moment.
GO MIKKO !!!
on the second split Loeb is 6 sek slower than on the first pass and 0.1 quicker than Mikko on the first pass
Split 2 - Mikko 1.6 slower than Loeb
Crychan ran slower than this morning but Rhondda was significantly faster. Maybe they are cutting up a bit.
I think it's the first time that a 207 RC appears in a WRC event (Loic).
Difference bw Loeb and Hirvonen is 30.2 sec at the end of Day 2.
Loeb could slide off the road tomorrow!
Anyone else fancy Petter for a stage win tomorrow?
Dissapointinf last two stages.
I think Loeb will win them all tomorrow. :(Quote:

Matthew Wilson.. the car is slideing too much for 2 days now. Maybe its your driving that needs changed, not the car.
Wilson is never going to be any good.
Lacklustre day for Latvala. Averaging about a fifth place today. Freed from any responsibility and given past form I expected better from him.
I think that those focuses are not performing that good this event, if only they could set them up as good as in finland!
Nevertheless, the best combo is going to get the title, hat off for Monsieur Loeb.
I thought that Petter could be a little faster on this event, such a shame that he could not get more kms on that car...
Wiper problems cost him slot of time this morning.Quote:

Suomin sauna -se on hyviin!! Löyly!
(Did I tell you I like Finland although I´m ruotsalainen. ;)
No I haven't taken part at sauna world champions. I have spectated it but I was really wasted and it was my friend's bachelor party who btw won his round. But I have had a gig on that very stage one year. We were rocking like hell :DQuote:

I'm sure his motivation is total zero. I expected a win from JM and so did he. No point trying to even push. Just checking notes and enjoying the scenery with Miikka with a 75% speed.Quote:

It must be very hard to keep going with no motiVation.
Photos from 2nd day?
After stage 8 and 9 we all felt it... Loeb is the true champion. Those stages made him champion in both Hirvonen and Loebs mind. He is showing that kind of determination that only the best can pull off when needed: Mäkinen, McRae, Grönholm to name a few. Even if he retire tomorrow those performances earn a "moral title winner" :)
I do rot for the underdog Hirvonen in a way. As this year may be his best shot at the title. At least when Loeb is around. A few more tarmac rounds will turn the advantage in Citroen favor.
I was pretty sure Hirvonen would be slighty quicker than Loeb today. But he lacked the fighting spirit. Remember the days when a big fight meant moments and hairy spins? Seems like no top driver push themselves over the limit (exept for JML). Is it the cars? They seem to be easy to drive on the limit? Slippy GB should be full of "moments".
Anyho good day today.. lets hope the fight continue tomorrow!
True but in 2008 he also lost bags of time with wiper problems in the dark on Leg 1.Quote:

It might have been good for him to push because his momentum is really at an all-time low after this year. But he probably just wants the season to be over.
Latvala had wiper problems in the dark in 2007, not 2008.
