Travaglia fastest until now on SS1, 4s ahead of Longhi and 6s ahead of Andreucci/Rossetti
Another besttime for Travaglia on stage 2, so overall after two stages, with one stage to go today:
1. Travaglia
2. Andreucci at 8"0
3. Perico at 11"8
4. Rosetti at 12"5
5. Cantamessa at 16"9
6. Longhi at 20"2
7. Cavallini at 25"0
8. Signor at 32"6
End of leg one... ;)
1-Travaglia
2-Ucci
3-Rox
4-Cantaluka
5-Longhi
6-Cavallini
7-Perico
8-Signor
...
Back to action tomorrow with seven stages to go
Edit: retirement for Scandola(hydraulics), disappointing times by Ceccoli :(
Incredible he can beat Ucci on speed... hope he doens't loose the title because of San Remo...
I agree. Travaglia is absolutely amazing! Good luck tomorrow!!!
Unfortuneately yes...Travaglia lost his championship chance of victory after having failed to beat Rox at Sanremo(he had 0.8s to catch only!!!) :(
Nice pics of SS1 Rally Como :)

Too bad and unlucky for Travaglia if he loses the title for that 0.8 ... but the best of the field is still Andreucci IMHO ^^
Longhi had a puncutre on SS2. He would be in a fight for second now. Good progess.
Three stages started this morning(after SS6) ;)
Rox is back, 2nd overall +7s off Travaglia, Ucci thinks about title so doesn't take risk and doesn't aim victory...
Cantaluka good pace too(4th overall) :)
Cavallini who could pass Longhi did a mistake(hit a wall)and retired :(
With three stages left to go, nothing is finished yet, by far on this rally di Como !!! ;)
9s between Travaglia and Rox, Cantaluka who can aim podium from Ucci(only thinking about title, not about the best position possible)... :D
Careful though, at 2.44pm will be rerun the 28km long SS1... :mark:
With all due respect to Travaglia(especially his devotion on searching the finances), but we must admit that Andreucci deserves the title the most. Do not forget his convincing victories on the gravel, where novebody can not compare with him and on the tarmac he is always in the play for the win (even with tyre disatvantage-Pirelli is not working well on high temperatures).Quote:

TERRIBLE SS8(the 28km long Val Cavargna stage) !!!! Rox wins it with big margin and threats Travaglia for the lead, and in the same time puncture for the championship leader Ucci who lost 45s and falled 5th overall   :mark:
Two stages left to go before end of "thriller" rally Como...
Rox takes the lead after SS9 !!!!!
Now Ucci has to secure 5th position if he wants the title(he has 25s advantage over current 6th Signor with one 8km long stage to go)
Andreucci Italian Champion 2009
ROX winner of Rally Como, UCCI CIR09 champion !!!!! :bounce: :bounce:
Great pace during the season for Renato Travaglia, and good run by Cantaluka for his return in competition and by Longhi on this event...
gg all XD
Italian's week-end, well started with the thrilling CIR09 last event yesterday(rally di Como), is unfortunately become sad today, with the death of the driver of car #5 (Scamporlino/Russo in a BMW)after a crash on SS7 on Trofeo Maremma rally !!!! ;(
RIP, Condolence to family of Sebastiano Scamporlino... :(
I HATE such news
Andreucci, Andreucci, Andreucci...you are the KING ! Well done, fully deserved champion!!
Because of retiremnt in Vsetin Italian team DP Autosport offered Czech driver Jaromir Tarabus to start in some Italian rally with their Fabia S2000. Decision about particular rally will be done next week.
Fantastic entrylist of S2000s on this week-end's Azzano Rally :D

Second outing in S2000 for Burçu Cetinkaya :bounce:
Wow great entrylist,1/4 are S2000s!
Interesting to see Kosciuszko in a Fabia
Kosciuszko was testing DP Autosport Fabia after Rally Vsetin in CZ and was satisfied with it. This should probably be as further test before next season's decision - this time on gravel.
To follow the Azzano Rally from tomorrow ;)

Thanks..
I don't know if it was already posted here or not, but Formula 1 star Robert Kubica will contest Rally Taormina in Italy. The event is last round of Trofeo Rally Asfalto and will be held on the next weekend. Kubica will drive Renault Clio R3 from DP Autosport Team. Two weeks later he will use the same car in Rallye du Var in France.
Ohhhhhh nice ... I'll be there !
First pics Azzano

Nice photos..
Fantastic victory of Michal Kosciuszko at the Azzano rally, he won for 0.3s ahead of Andrea Navarra and 9.4s ahead of Mauro Trentin :D
Wow fantastic rally!
Congratulations to Junior! Somebody said that both Navarra and Trentin are gravel specialists. Where are the gravel specialists now? ;)Quote:

Yazici is definitely a hero of rallying in Turkey, and after 2 year-break, he returned to the stages with the team last year in Turkish Rally Championship. For short, I'm satisfied with his maiden season in Italy, and belive in Lassa as a good brand for racing tyres as well. I can't end my thougts stating that, I wonder how could the season be for Yazici if he could have used 207 S2000 for the whole!..
Thanks for your impressions. I remeber Yazici very well from his Corolla WRC days. But as far as fantastic adaptation to brand new car is concerned, in my opinion it is something that has to be said about Michal Kosciuszko in his first outing with Skoda Fabia S2000 :)
All right, Michal is more active in Rallying lately, but Yazıcı I meant did not even have a chance to test new car properly. He did not enter any event except for Italian Championship in this season, that's way he lacks the practice; and remember his handicap using a totally new racing tyre compound compared to those well-known brands.
By the way, Luca "Rox" Rossetti won the Ronde Vivai Pistoiesi last week-end :p :

Interesting !!! Robert Kubica 10th overall, first R3C, after short leg one(two short stages)of Rally Taormina...it's his first rally me thinks
Michal Kosciuszko 7th overall... ;)
