[WRC] 86th Rallye Monte-Carlo 2018 (Jan 22-28)

Do the crews have enough time to sort some of the issues out or is it just getting there and hoping for the best?

Toyota in a very good position! Now they need to be smart and keep pressure on Sordo and Ogier :)

Quite decent times by some others after Ogier especially running on dirtier roads.

May see a better reflection later when all are on similar conditions.

Perhaps the Drivers Championship will be won by Ogier, but I'm now certain that the Manufacterers battle will be more fascinating than ever.

There usually is quite some time between loss of alternator and complete emptying the battery? They don't have any warnings for things like that?

Would not take to much space to have a small MC-type backup battery to get started in situations like this.
I guess jumpstart is no good without any juice?

And they didnt wanted to return to WRC in 2012, they were happy in IRC. But FIA and mainly Jean Todt pushed to them that if they will not return to WRC, they will take them out organisation of formula 1 event...

Not sure they can jumpstart wrc car like everyday car... if that could be done that way I'm sure they would figure something out.

Breen didnt hit anything, a rock went into the wheel and damaged the brakes. Just bad luck. Unfortunate as he seemed to be going well.
Long rally a lot can happen yet. Mikkelsen case in point.

As usual the crews that stay out of trouble the most will do well in Monte.

With this live coverage we didn't know anything how stage was going. Only pretty picture and it's all. With rally radio we have more pro team that talks about rally. And not talks random bullshit to fulfill live "windows"

yes.but these batteries are not the big proper ones we have at our cars,so they are not going to last same time as at your car.
except that we dont know for how many kms he run with this problem

I think that the WRC cars have more electronics to drain the battery than your roadcar as well, specially in stage mode.

Very good performance of Sarrazin (finally we see something from the Hyundai R5) and Veiby in RC2.

Kopecky could do better, but actually he only has to compete with Camilli.

Really tough start for Hyundai's title challengers. Was reading some nonsense this week about how Hyundai will be the dominant team in 2018 and that maybe it's bad for the sport like VW. The same Hyundai team that hasn't won a title...

I saw some onboard from Neuville on 3rd stage. He got puncture and he say he doen't have a clue from what did that happen. Well he cuts like a crazy and no wonder that he constantly have problems. He is real a little slow or what that he is not learning from his own mistakes.

i dont think so,the only case could a wrc car needs more electric power is at night stages with all these lamps.

Lots of drama, as usual on RMC, and we’re just at the beginning!

Ogier on a class of his own. Good job from Sordo and Tanak; not so good from the others. Fantastic fight in WRC2.


Nice to see WRC+ recovering from yesterday disaster; all live is a huge improvement for the series.

Yeah down for me. Said there was a 'heartbeat error' and then when I refreshed it said the video is not available.

Even the normal WRC + is down. I was beginning to think it was to force you into the Live but if that's not working either they just got issues. Probably the server's too small for all the excited fans!!

I don't think they anticapated so much people using it....hopefully when we'll get to Sweden they'll sort this stuff out.

ewrc always down for Monte.. and works fine for another events. It's too much hype around Monte.

Not working on PC at the moment, but on WRC+ App on Amazon Fire TV still working good.
