Petter testing the Xsara!
Says everything is different compared to the Subaru.. Engine, handling brakes, suspension etc.. The car is easy to push with.. And that they also improved somethings.. And finnishes of by saying that it would be cool to beat some c4's

of course it would be cool, that citroen bosses are going to allow it I dont know... remember manfred, those french guys can be very sneaky.

Shouldn't he really be saying he wants to beat some of the Focus WRCs? It doesn't look like he has much affliliation with Citroen.

I was watching both Petter and PG testing in the snow yesterday,

Petter seemed to bee realy "hot" ,he was going completly flat out and the car looked very easy to handle.

PG had his own little "shakedown" yesterday, before he starts testing for real today.

By the way, yesterday we heard rumors about Anders Grøndal rolling the subaru S14 on the first day of their test. Anyone heard anything about it?

07-08.02 Evgeniy Novikov has first tests with 'Citroen Junior Team'. During 2 days Novikov/Moscatt has made 330 km of testing distance.

I really look forward to see what Novikov can do in this rally. Does anyone know how familar he is with the surface of Norway? He should be used to it but since he is so young i dont know?

Oh dear, he seems to have some sort of speed, but sooner or later he goes off. :rolleyes:

Novikov has massive speed, but he has same problem as Aava - off road action. But he is very spectacular to watch!

It is actually good thing to go off while testing. Then there is much bigger possibility to stay on the road for next 350 km :-)

Well, when was the last time he stayed on the raod during competition. he has had smaller or bigger off in almost every rally. Don't get me wrong, but he need to finish some rallies woithout any offs.

Yeah, cars do look much better now. Those old winter tires made cars look really silly :-) There are many good things with those tires - same size wheels, smaller cornering speed, more sideways, less impact on road surface, lasting a bit longer.

I much preferred the old Red Bull Fabia (WRC) in both looks and livery, but hopefully this one will be quicker, relatively speaking.

Last week-end Evgeniy Novikov has gravel tests in France (south of the country near the France-Spain border). During this tests he drove two cars – test-car C4 (distance of tests - 170 km) and his yellow-black C4 (distance of tests – 20 km).

Test-car was used for finding right setup for Cyprus rally. Novikov`s car was used to check the transmission setup which has some changes after Norway rally.

Unfortunately Evgeniy had only gravel tests. French police doesn`t gave a permission to make a asphalt tests...
