Today happened the worst nightmare as a coach. I was not in the car. Miroslav hit in straight line a concrete block, for an unknown reason, the impact was extremely big. Unfortunately Miroslav lost his life later in the hospital💔😭. #RIPMIRO. Enjoy every second of life

Ingram has some problems with his intercom and is only third after SS7:

Lengauer only drives Jänner Rallye because of budget reasons. He´d like to do more, but couldn´t find a budget. Last year he already achieved a stage win on his first time with a rally 2 car.

Oh no! The famous Austrian co-driver Ilka Minor ends up under water! She used to compete in WRC with Manfred Stohl and now - look at this!

Ingram lost a lot of time because he uses Monte spikes as test for Monte (about 2 sec per km, partially even more), all others use small swedish spikes.

Keferböck/Minor landed in a pond, car completely under water. Luckily both unhurt and back in service park.

Also Mares lost a lot of time at SS15 and has no more chance for winning the rally.

It's unbelievable that there were (for security reasons) no large hay bales or something like that on that spot. Fortunately everything is fine (except the car), it could have ended very badly...

Hopefully Baumschlager can help to at least put together a part-time season for Lengauer. Also, Julian Wagner's car seemed to lack sponsors as well, also not sure if he's going to continue in Rally2...

Chris was using Pirelli, despite Michelin should be more clever choice for this rally. And difference comparing to other drivers was not only the spikes, but mainly type of tyre...

He was using wide asphalt winter tyres for RMC and the others used narrow Nordic-style snow tyres.

Interestingly Julian was perceived to be the more talented one of the two a few years ago, but I don't know why his career kind of stalled. Maybe someone knows what happened?

"We were between life and death - we're not joking!"

K4 RALLY TEAM report: Dramatic moments under the freezing cold ice water!

Johannes Keferböck and Ilka Minor lived the worst rally nightmare at this year's Jännerrallye.

The unthinkable happened on SP15 at Sandl-St. Oswaldon: "We were a bit too fast in one corner." The green and black K4 ŠKODA FABIA RS Rally2 went out of control and slid straight into a fire pond - the car sank immediately. What happened next was experienced by Johannes in slow motion: “The icy water must have been only about five degrees. You just focus on getting out, both you and your navigator.”

Dramatic seconds followed: "I could open my door and get out of the car, but the door didn't open for Ilka! Ilka went under and couldn't breathe - I tried to raise the car somehow - luckily he was able to get out... It was really at the last moment!"

The family immediately offered hot tea and a warm shower

Completely drenched in the ice-cold water, Johannes and Ilka were immediately helped: "The local Hochacker family offered to warm us up immediately with a hot shower and drink tea in their house - I would also like to thank the family on behalf of Ilka."

"Even after the hot shower and tea, Ilka's body temperature was only 32 degrees. I'm really glad that this case ended so happily in the end. I never want to experience this again...

What is also important for Johannes Keferböck: "You can see various jokes about our accident on the Internet - to a certain extent it's funny - but: it was really a matter of life and death, not many people passed - we don't joke about that."

He didn´t reveal any plans and said he wants to spend more time with his family this year. So this year it could be an easy season for Simon Wagner, as Lengauer probably doesn´t want to do a whole championship (he´d like to achive only a part time season, if he manages it at all financially). Julian Wagner could be the only rival for Simon in 2024. but even he doesn´t know how to achive the money needed.

Obviously. At the beginning Julian looked to be the better funded of the two and Simon openly complaining about a lack of budget. I was more wondering how they "switched" position.

Rebenland Rallye(Austria)this coming weekend ;)

Rosenberger made a last minute switch from the Fiesta to a C3 because they had a front differential failure on the test yesterday.

For me that is a dream scenario as I failed to see a C3 WRC so far.

I hope everything OK for crew #4 Julian Wagner and Hannah Ostlender who crashed their Skoda on SS13 Rebenland Rallye(stage cancelled) :confused:
