Ah, now I read. 35 minutes before first car and even before safety steward. So that really is to check the situation and not only to drive through fast.
Thats a quite good idea, because I am sure if a popular driver like Kopecky speak with fans in forbidden area, they have more respect, then to an unknown person in Safety Car. But in my opinion they should start later, ofcourse with the risk if they have to stop many times, for stage delay. But better delayed stage as a bad accident.
Maybe their choice of Kopecky is not random at all. I know that in Czech Republic they are always worried about security but after what happened in Barum maybe they want to make it as safe as possible.
