Depends, maybe Yves asked him to push for victory.

Who said here a few years ago tarmac events are boring? Always in this rally, there are unpredictable things that happen. :)
Lundefaret, your words and sentences are very good. Nice to see that there are quite a lot of Norwegians that follow rally close after the Petter Solberg period.
It is indeed not easy to still be a fan of Jari-Matti Latvala due to his mistakes, but he has his very fast days and - as important for me - he is such a friendly person.
Citroen would be crazy to drop Meeke. What alternatives do they have?
Just woke up and must say I'm quite shocked with the news of this morning! The problem with both JML and Meeke is you don't know how they will handle it psychologically as well, they both must be devestated. But after all it's their own fault...
Would have loved to see a championship battle emerge after a this year, but Jari threw it away. Let's hope Hyundai can keep it together and Evans can catch Mikkelsen.
Bouffier incar crash

Would be terrific for Neuville and Hyundai - his home rally and also home rally of the team!
Bouffier was dissapointing - but I don´t know if he had to drive with gravel gearbox all the rally and if his aim was to test the car with gravel gearbox on tarmac.
yes they would be crazy but sometimes they can be stupid, although really i don't see they have any alternatives-(no way they will go back to Hirvonen or Sordo, Mikkelsen is still with VW and so is Ogier & Latvala, Hyundai are all fetched either and Evans will stay with M-Sport so...)
Latvala is a very sympatetic person, and a driver You know is rally trough and trough, driving the Lahti historic on his "off" time, restoring rally cars with his father, and just being obsessed with going fast. In Finland he was both "Nose End First" and "Latvala-fast", and it was great. Is it one guy I really would like to win it is Latvala!
And I feel kind of sorry for him, because he takes theese offs so emotionally. I am afraid that this will have him back in " safe mode". He must keep pushing, he is in brilliant form - and the championship needs it!
I have to say the same about Kris Meeke. He is such a caracter, and a very friendly guy, totally commited, and a complete joy to talk to. And he brings color to the championship with his playfull comments vs Ogier.
I think that Meekes speed here in Germany has made his seat in Citroën safer. And I hope we see Citroën running the same two drivers in 15.
i must say this situation reminds me Japan 2007, where Loeb went out and the end of the same day, Gronholm was out to, i think (unless Ogier isn't done with his mistakes for this year) from here till the end of the season the path is layed out for Ogier. one more thing finally VW's winning streak is over, and History will be made (if they make it to the finnish) first time Hyundai win and a first for Neuville, and first time no Citroen on the podium :(
This is just like the time in Corsica in 2003 when Solberg crashed on shakedown and went on to win the rally. Nueville has almost done the same thing.
Has anyone find a video of the GT86?
SS15 Dhrontal 1, second split:
M. HIRVONEN 00:06:02.6
A. MIKKELSEN 00:05:56.0
D. SORDO 00:05:59.1
T. NEUVILLE 00:05:56.5
K. MEEKE 00:05:56.0
J. LATVALA 00:05:56.4
Seems Latvala did not push irresponsible, concentration problem I'm afraid.
Well on the the other hand, the others where pushing like hell. I don't know.
i can imagine Kris meeke saying, "that's my career over" again.
Jonkka or another men/women who has WRC statistics: When was the last time that we had 3 different leaders in the final day of a WRC rally?
Regarding mads next year, i think he will be in Citroën then too. He has had a open approch that he adapt to the car, not other way around. He have to deliver on the last gravelrallies, and show that he is closer to the best on tarmac.
And, he drives for free.
Penultimate stage will start in one minute with Bouffier first on the road.

Free link for the live stage later on? For us who can't get WRC+, legally anyway.
ewrc-results is down, lot of excitement apparently :-)
Ostberg 11.44.4
Evans 11.41.1
Evans faster underway than Ostberg... again.
