A quick one while we're waithtink for donKey and gadjo to sort themselves and to avoid the airport codes:
Which current and past [championship] grand prix venues are furthest North, South, East and West? And for a tie breaker, the furthest West in Europe?
Now I'd better go and check the answers in my atlas.
I don't know but I'll try just for fun. Don't know the locations so I'll say the country.
North GB?
South Australia?
East Australia?
West Canada?
West Europe Spain?
North - Anderstorp
South - Adelaide
Furthest West in Europe - Estoril
West & East all depends on from where you're placing Center....
 Anderstorp is furthest north
 All the rest
East and west is relative to the Greenwich Meridian - going either way you stop at the International Date Line. (So Alaska or Hawaii is almost as far west as you can go and Fiji or Tonga as far east)
Hmm good Q.
And no airport codes!
North: Scandinavia Raceway in Sweden (Anderstorp)
South: Prince George Circuit in S Africa
East: Albert Park in Melbourne
West: Sears Point (Infineon)
Now we have two
North: Anderstorp
East: Albert Park
South, West and West Europe to go
How about Albert Park for the Southern one as well as Eastern one?
And Long Beach for West?
Estoril for Europe?
South: Albert Park?
South: Buenos Aires?
Now we have four correct -
North: Anderstorp
East: Albert Park
West: Long Beach
South: also Albert Park
That just leaves the most Westerly GP in Europe?
Lisbon?
Correct :burnout:Quote:

Excuse me but how can Lisbon be the western most Grand Prix if Estoril is west of Lisbon???
:dork: My apologies! it's simply my mistake - I checked the map and simply missed Estoril
I thought Estoril is no longer on international circuit,,,,,

Cherrapunji [sp?] in the Himalayas holds the record for the most annual rainfall. I think the nearest capital city is Kathmandu.
Singapore?
New Dehli?
No sir! You may want to narrow it down to its continent
Not according to my source, you sir are on the wrong continent.Quote:

Yangon/whatever the new Burmese capital city is?
^^No! When someone gives me the correct continent I'll consider giving clues ;)
So, we're in Africa then?
Bingo!!
Clue: The country is on the path of the Niger River but the river itself does not represent a natural border
Gabon? capital name seems to elude me though
^^^A pretty good guess but you are too far south. I realize this is a pretty obscure Q about an obscure country with an even more obscure capitol.
This next clue may be helpful: This country has within its borders the source of the Niger River.
Nigeria?
No idea about it's capital though... :dozey:
No it s not! Moving along:Quote:

Democratic Republic of Congo?
Again, I'm pants with African capitals
