On monday(15t august)we should get the pre-entrylist of Rallye du Mont-Blanc next event of french tarmac championship(held on 1st-3rd september) ;)
Finally tomorrow friday will be published the full and definitive entrylist of Rallye du Mont-blanc...stay tuned on ASAC Mont Blanc ;)
Surprise winner at Mont-Blanc: Pierre Campana in the Mini WRC
Many things happened: Dany Snobeck went off the road while leading, then Frédéric Comte got a huge penalty because was too early out of assistance(10th overall final result) :s
Bad luck for Eric Brunson and Pierre Roché who retired with mechanical problems...
Fantastic result for Porsche driver Gilles Nantet who finished 2nd overall and won the trophée Michelin
Fantastic performance by Cédric Robert in the Citroën DS3 R3T who won the GrR/2WD and get his best result overall(4th) :D
Best of the Clio R3s was as expected belgian driver Kris Princen, althought Thomas Barral wasn't too far behind
Many many retirements, especially many crashes :mark:
Campana dissapointed me again had again no pace like in Germany was 2 minutes or something behind Snobeck before he crashed? Roche and Comte lost their chances too in of those 2 stages everything happened there btw. Can't understand how the hell Comte checked out 10 minutes too early?? Epic Failure of Co Driver :s . Nantet indeed brilliant drive his stage times were sometimes faster than Campana! I really want that guy in Belgium to drive against Van Parijs or so :D . Princen outstanding wins the Cup Barral came close in 2nd day!
I was a bit surprised how easily Cédric Robert destroyed 2WD opponents this time. Even Arzeno was off his pace and later crashed...
Hey !!!! Next round of french gravel championship this coming week-en but...in Spain(Catalunya) :D
Rally Lloret Terra Catalunya ;)
Great entrylist as usual, with France vs Belgium as always
LISTE D
Sébastien Ogier on entrylist of Rallye Vosgien(eastern France)this week-end(at wheel of his DS3 wrc as training before rallye de France in Alsace) ;)
Of course his main contender should be Dany Snobeck in his C4 WRC(usual driver in french tarmac championship)...meaning no real contender at all :mark:
Huge number of retirements after 4 stages of Rallye Catalunya(event of french gravel championship) :s
But already a logical leader, Simon Jean-Joseph in his 207 S2000(Kumho tyres) :D
Best Belgian is third overall(Bernard Munster in his Skoda Octavia WRC) ;)
Fantastic run by young dutch driver Kevin Abbring, 5th overall, solid leader of 2WDs despite a puncture on the shortest stage(SS2 = 3km long)
Results on FFSA | 1er Rallye Lloret Terres de Catalunya - 2011
This run in Gravel really improved Kevin's skills there! Psa must like it Neuville great on Tarmac and Kevin on Gravel. :D
I have noticed that DS3 R3 is very fast and reliable on tarmac but needs some improvement on gravel. 3 of cars have retired here and in last WRC round Hunt had huge number of technical problems (problems with water crossings, turbo etc.). Hopefully they can get it sorted out and we have another good 2WD for all surfaces.
Abbring had this year barely problems i think with the DS3

I remind you also that in Italy Simone Campedelli won the 2WD once(on a gravel event of CIR me thinks) :p :
PS: and on previous french gravel events the DS3 had good results too(example terre de Langres with Abbring, Gilbert, Jeanney and Raoux) ;)

If they get faster by VW to the big league I've no problem with that. For Abbring there should be a new challenge for him because he's already at his top with the DS3 in France Terre Championship. Neuville sits good for IRC next year he still can learn there.Quote:

Huge battle for 2nd place between Julien Maurin(Fiesta S2000)and Emmanuel Gascou(207 S2000)with gap of only +3" after SS12 rallye Terra Catalunya :bounce:
Bernard Munster will try to catch Kevin Abbring for 4th position(+15" gap) ;)
Yep but last year he won already in 2wd in Ypres, so he can live with that. And IRC run with the DS3 would be cool although no rivals for that and if there's somebody would do it like this year a Kangur and Raoux are no competition for Abbring.Quote:

She's on entrylist with no car for he moment :mark:
Yes, i have seen that also, but she is also on entrylist for Hermicuda Rally in Belgium with Focus 08. I don't know what is the reason for this, but maybe somebody else have more info.
Kevin wanted to do more IRC events this year, but everything is about money...Quote:

To be followed on PatricK Soft
Crazy results so far in Alsace(french tarmac championship)
All WRCs eliminated of the podium(crash for Brunson today who retired, crash for Snobeck who lost 9 minutes yesterday, puncture for Roché yesterday who is currently 7th)...Gilles Nantet in his Porsche GT3 is leading, 35" in front of Matthieu Arzeno and Cédric Robert in their DS3 R3s :D
Very unusual results so far :bounce:
But many stages left to run...
This evening looks like european entrylist of Rallye d'Antibes/ERC(held next week)will be published
By the way, next round of french gravel championship this week-end(Rallye terre des Cardabelles)
You forgot to post the entry list Tom: http://www.terre-de-france.org/Carda...ges%202011.pdfQuote:

Hey, provisional entrylist of Critérium des Cévennes(next round of tarmac championship held next week)available
http://www.criteriumdescevennes.com/...11-engages.pdf
Very interesting rumour !!! Dutch driver Kevin Abbring could be "official" Citroën driver on 2012 french tarmac championship(still in the DS3 R3T) :D
Kind of congratulations from the marque for his current perfomances on french gravel
Imagine the duels with Cédric Robert(if he continues the same way next year)on all events :bounce:
Also another rumour, but more strange this one: Pieter Tsjoen back in french tarmac in a Citroën DS3 WRC ???
Thanks Tommeke for that great news ;)
Polish driver Szymon Kornicki appears on rallye du Var first pre-entrylist(at wheels of a DS3 R3) :)
Var Ralye 2011
Andis Neiksans (Latvian N4 champion in 2010.& 2011., NORF 2011 N4 winner) is going to take part in "Var Ralye 2011" to gain tarmac experience for next year PWRC (most likely). It will be his first tarmac rally ever.Quote:

New victory for Citroën in 2WD thanks to Arzeno and Robert(note after Alsace it's the second time in a row Arzeno and his belgian codriver Jamoul beat Robert), but the new Mégane N4 proved to be one of the strongest, with Guigou 4th overall during long time(gearbox also was reason of his retirement) ...watch out Citroën, we need a big evo in 2012 :mark:
Germain Bonnefis won the Volant Peugeot 207(he finished 4th behind Jouines, Audirac and Lefèbvre but it was enough for title)and will get a 207 S2000 in 2012 french tarmac championship...
Hey thanks for sharing such an nice stuff. Good work. Keep it up.
Next week is last event of french gravel championship(rallye terre du Vaucluse)but coming in same time as Condroz, many Belgians are absent :mark:
Also no Kevin Abbring it looks like
Team Trevois : Accueil
Anyway, duel for the title between Emmanuel Gascou and Simon Jean-Joseph, but Frédéric Morel in the ex-Bozian whale could be favourite for overall win ;)
