I didn't see it if you mean the severity of it didn't warrant any punishment. I read that you thought only cash penalty IS fair.

I disagree, you're given the rules, you follow the rules and you take safety elements seriously. It's part of the game same as hitting chicanes, late check in.... Cash only fines gives rich people license to do what they want.
Like, to most people, a sign saying 'NO PARKING - €300 FINE' is a deterrent not to park there. Rich people read 'PARKING €300' and park there. Unless there is wheel-clamping there is no difference in those signs.
Edit: If Neuville broke the code, he gets the punishment else no point having the rule.
I also get a sense of cost-cutting in Rally.tv these last few years.
If there is a gap in the coverage from the first two cars, they could tackle it with more cameras and radio relays. Instead they have less coverage and hide it by starting later.
I'm not sure that I mind the delayed start personally, because I just watch the stage on rally.tv, so in a way they are editing out the "dead air" for me. But if I was also looking at live timing or something like that, this would be infuriating. And rally.tv is the product for the most committed fans, people who watch the whole of the stages not just the highlights, so they are relatively likely to do that.
Greg Munster doing great job at stage end intervieuw's:p
