Optimistic pace note caused Rovanpera's Ypres Rally retirement. "There was a few corners and the second one of them I just had a bit of an optimistic pace note," said Rovanpera, who had won the day's opening asphalt stage to lead the rally. It was too short a corner on the notes and I went early and I couldn't get out on the right line and hit the ditch. It [the impact] was quite big surprisingly big in the car but we seem fine."
When asked if the timing mix up affecting his mindset, he said: "For sure it was disturbing in the beginning but I think at halfway into the stage it shouldn't affect us anymore. They had a big mess there with the time control trying to send us on the stage when there were three seconds on the clock. It was two times like this, it was a big mess. I don't know what they were doing, but for sure it was not good."

At least Rally Finland had the same. I remember from Rally Finland, there was cameras on SS2 Laukaa at the fast crossing of tarmac road and then the "lossinmutka" uphill right, and at the same time three cameras on SS3 Lankamaa on the farm into the beginning of the esker section. And now we've had three cameras on two stages as well?
