They played in the 2004 FA Cup Final and lost 3-0 against Man Utd. Poo Boots scored once, and Ruuuuuuud bagged a double. If memory serves me right, they lost in two legs against some Hungarian club.

The Geordies may have even made it to the Qtr Finals that season, or was that the season before or after? Aw Who Cares? This isn't a pub quiz.

One of the most interesting things to this newbie fan of soccer is promotion/relegation. It seems there are 81 different scenarios that could take place this weekend among the 5 teams involved. (There are actually a lot more once you take goal difference into account.) It's crazy. Blackpool could beat Manchester United and still be relegated or they could lose and still stay in the Premier League in certain scenarios. :crazy:

If Blackpool were to beat Manchester United, would the Premier League then fine Manchester United for fielding a weaker side in the same way as they did when they fined Blackpool when they did against Villa earlier this season?

Whats the point of having a squad of 25 players of you aren't going to use them. Man U should field a weaker side with one eye on the big game mid-week against Juventus.
