This forum is already chock full of pointless nonsense about American politics. This thread is about the iPad if you want to talk about politics start a thread. Any posts on here from now not related to iPad's will be deleted and you'll get a ban for your trouble.
Mark on the forum on a non-weekday? :pQuote:

I'm sorry; I'm old and maybe out of date but to me it seems that liuke most of americans are into buying something just because its new not because its more suited for thier needs.I just don';tr get nor understand the hype of this thing.
If someone could explain in common laymens terms I might get with the timew but for now I'm just happy where I am and not ready to spend 500 bucks to keep up with the Jone's.
I think you nailed it with the underlined portion. I'd say if most of us (Americans and others living in developed nations) look around our homes, we'll see that the majority of what we have is based on "want", "have to have it now!" and making ourselves more comfortable... not necessarily things we actually need. I'm not criticizing anyone, as I'm really bad about that myself. For what I've spent on diecast models over the years alone, I could have bought a new (real) car.Quote:

I'm a (happy as hell) Apple shareholder. And while I have no plans to buy an iPad or iPhone for myself, I'm quite pleased that it's come out of the gate as a winner.
But those are really cool. You should repost them for all our newer patrons.Quote:
