If I understand correctly he made a mistake (breake to late).

Baumschlager had a spin in SS 12 and lost some seconds, but the huge time loss in SS13 / 14 was due technical problems - break failure - no brakes in the back.

http://www.autorally.lv/?m=4 K. Rovanpera leads Rally Latvia.
4th round of Turkish Rally Championship acts at Bursa this weekend.
Favorites of the rally was Burak Cukurova(BCvision Motorsport Fabia R5), Orhan Avcioglu (Tok sport Fiesta R5)and Yagiz Avci (Munaretto Racing 208 R5).
At the hard gravel surface of Bursa Cukurova finish the first day with Topp Cars run Fabia R5 2,5 seconds lead over Avci.
Avcioglu was out at the very first stage with an engine problem.
Ugur Soylu driving another Topp Car run Fabia R5 but pressure on the leading two with his first gravel with Skoda.
Cukurova leave the morning service with two minute late because of an urgent rear crossmember change and drop to second palcewith 17,5 second margin.
With a great speed at four stages Cukurova win the rally over Avci and also win extra power stage points.
I will forward the final results soon :)

JA
In Austria now two thirds of the season are over, with just 2 rallys remaining. Baumschlager with Polo WRC is only third in championship. He had 2 accidents this year after years without retiring. Either he has problems in adapting to Polo WRC, or the other drivers like Neubauer and Mayr-Melnhof became faster, as for Mayr-Melnhof this surely is a fact.
According Raimund it was his last Rallye in Polo, he cannot blame officialy, but I heard that he was just not able to make the Pirellis work properly on the Polo.
On the other side there were 4 exactly same stages this year and last year (conditions, length and direction), Hermann was about 1sec/km faster on them then last year, he is superconfident at the moment, and I think Baumschlager just can´t raise his Speed with an age of almost 60 years.
For me personally it was a nice home rallye, first time codriving Fabia S2000, great car, great fun!
Impressive onboard of the Polo:

http://autorally.lt/?m=2 Samsonas rally Rokiškis 2017 next event in Lithuania championship and Baltic rally trophy. Some fast guys from Scandinavia - Teemu Asunmaa, Jacob Jansson, Juha Salo. Stages new even for locals, it will be interesting.

Samsonas Rally Rokiškis 2017 winner J. Vorobjovs; T. Asunmaa 3rd, J. Salo 5th, J Jansson 7th. full results http://www.autorally.lt/?m=4&ft=1
ala's super moment in Samsonas Rally Rokikis - https://youtu.be/u1LKD7s6k3I
In media was written, that Asunmaa's car can't be prepared properly because Rally Finland is only one week before, and about Salo don't know. I could be due cost - it's cheaper rallying for fun with Subaru. Basically everyone in guests category waving to crowd and have good time. Also Samsonas has connections with Finnish Subaru tunners, where he started few rallies with Subaru, so maybe they helped to invite Salo and Asunmaa and also delivered cars. Both of them entrant was Jukka Hara - maybe this name familiar to you?
I read a Finnish interview where Salo says the rally organizer had prepared them rental Subarus, tyres, everything ready, and just invited them to drive. Salo and Asunmaa have been doing business with Samsonas, so probably related to that.
Any more comments in Finnish media from them about rally itself, about rallying in Lithuania? do they like it?
16. EMV1,LRC1 2017 0 KALLE ROVANPERÄ / JONNE HALTTUNEN LAT / FIN SKODA FABIA R5 TGS WORLDWIDE
Kalle with other co-driver on entry list, instead of Pietiläinen in Lõuna-Eesti Ralli 2017. http://www.autosport.ee/rallyreg/?page=27&race_id=394&
Looks like Saaremaa rally in Estonia will have really interesting and good driver line-up this year. Ott Tänak have already said that he will compete in a R5, in local forum there are some talk about 2 other top WRC drivers who have said Yes. Organizer have told that they work hard to get as much previous winners to start as possible.
Also there is a "new" stage witch was last used in 2001 i think.
K. Rovanpera 1st position after 3 stages (and 1st day) in Lõuna-Eesti Ralli 2017. Results: http://autosport.ee/results/?race_id...ace_ss_id=814&
Apparently got a 30 sec time penalty. Tactics? https://twitter.com/KalleRovanpera/s...27763822567424
EDIT: FB says "30 second time penalty on stage 3 for driving the stage wrongly"
Could be. But why do that when main goal is to gather experience, unless O/A win is more important...
EDIT: I see..
Kalle is already third after two stages. But he seems to match the times of Kaur so probably he won't win this rally. But Kaur is not driving for Latvian championship points?
No, he's not. Stages seems very fast, I guess it's hard to keep up with Proto/WRC cars while driving R5...
So Kalle get another penalty for jump start, and final result is 3rd place. http://autosport.ee/results/?race_id...ace_ss_id=822&
