Reports in from our WRC TV crews: Clear and dry. Temperature at the start is -2˚C. At 39km the temperature is -2˚C. Road surface is largely dry but there are patches of black ice all the way through.
Latvala already 6.2 down after 6.7 km
Mikkelsen losing big time on this: +14.9 at first split
Meeke keep close at first split +1.5
Meeke + 1,5 at 1st split
Mikkelsen already losing 26s. Wrong tyres or other problems?

According to rally radio, first 14km almost full of snow and ice, only last 3km are clear.
I think it's the other way round. The last Kilometers are in shady downhill in the woods and there is the snow / ice as well as on the top of the col.Quote:

10 sec can be simply from road position here
