2 stages left for Breen, come on!!
last split for Dani!!! better be faster then JML!
Petter is completely over.. too much rain.. wtf. Look at Sordo-s time with 4 hard tires. And if I am looking the radar picture then there is just a little rain in couple of places..
Dani have to show pace in order to make up his own brand. Petter don´t have to show anything at this moment. Just finish the rally.Quote:

Despite lack of power against the factory cars the MINI is just as fast. I would say Prodrive together with Ohlins have done their homework with the chassi since the S14.
Very good result for Østberg, but very sorry for him for yesterdays tyre/ set up glitch.
I guess Mikko hadd full control on ss17, an 3,2 sec on the last one is too much.
Has Stewards given similar tyre related time punishments in the past, as with Novikov today?
By the way.. veeery strong rain is heading to service park.. Heaviest I have seen in this weekend. For the last stage the situation is the same as for this stage.. little bit light rain
Paddon stopped. Pity for him, showed great times 2 days
EDIT: moving again
Looks like Breen has done it ... fantastic considering what has happened to him this year.

No it wasnt, and the PS was SS17 not the last stage of the rally ...Quote:

I´m very sorry for Tom Wrc et al because the wishes of Latvala crashing did´nt materialize. Better luck next time!
For me I think Craig Breen is one out of three drivers in M-Sport B-team. (Novikov and Tanak also)
First team Petter and Mads.
maybe garde 1999 in New Zealand?Quote:

If my checks are correct, this was Loeb's closest win on a tarmac rally (or a majority of a rally on tarmac) since 2003 Germany, where he won Grönholm by 3,6 seconds...
Don't think that Loeb pushed to the maximum. ;)
Must be the first time I agree with him!Quote:

I think he did. Latvala just had the balls to to push. Check the gap to thirdQuote:

Really happy for Breen, what an effort it must have been... definitely one of those great and motivational stories of rallying... and life.
On the powerstage he had to push even over the maximum du to his wrong tire choice.Quote:

In doing so Breen secures consecutive world rally titles after winning the inaugural FIA WRC Academy Championship twelve months ago. The twenty-two year old suffered the severest blow of his career in June when his best friend and former co-driver, Gareth Roberts, was killed in an accident on IRC Rally, Targa Florio.
The Waterford driver made a comeback on World Rally Finland in August and on the closing three SWRC rounds (Wales Rally Gb, World Rally France and World Rally Spain) of the season stamped his authority on the championship claiming a hat trick of wins. This weekend he also completes World Rally Spain in 6th overall, equalling Sebastien Ogier’s record of the highest overall finish of an S2000 car in the 2012 World Rally Championship.
After taking a commanding advantage on day one of this weekend’s event which saw the Ford driver hold an overnight lead of 3 minutes 41 seconds, Breen adopted a marking tactic over the Saturday and Sunday stages. Controlling from the front, the Irish driver kept his arch rival, Swede, P-G Andersson at arm’s length, covering every attack while preserving his car all the way through to a flourishing finish. At the conclusion of the eighteenth and final stage, a euphoric Breen was overcome with joy for winning the title but also reflected on the huge loss during the summer..
“Incredible, I can’t believe it, you know I’ve had questions about if I’m making the correct decision. But for reasons I can’t explain that wanted me to get back in a rally car immediately, and I think this confirms it all. You know, we were meant to be here, we were meant to win this title and I’m so happy to have pulled it off.”
Well done to Craig - it would be a fantastic achievement in a normal year, but after all he has been through - I'm not sure of the words to say. Marvellous!!
I hope all of Ireland is proud of him - he has a big future ahead of him.
Yes Breen is the future and the events of this year will mean so much in terms of his maturity. I hope he gets a drive in the WRC next season and I think its time for Petter Solberg to move on...
I think he knows this too:
PetterSolbergWRC @Petter_Solberg 5th, 5th and 7th fastest to close out SS16-18 and the season. No pushing, just wanted to bring it home. Now we see what #2013 holds for us..
Congrats to Craig Breen!!! Well done!!!
