Which is the best Indian restaurant near the Holiday Inn Express City Center Birmingham, UK ? :arrows: :p
The Star of Bengal
(the others are rubbish ;) )
I need the address :p
(google allowed)
Royal Bengal looks good. I'll let you know if it's the correct answer in a couple of days after I've compared it to Itihaas, Pushkar and/or Asha's :facelick: :D
In the meantime, your Q D-Type :up:
On the subject of food, where in the world could you order [phonetically]:
cowpat poo?
cowpat moo? or
cowpat high dung?
And, what do they mean?
Hmmm.....I'm afraid scatology is not in my line.
Tsk, boo hoo moo poo...
I have no idea, although they sound Vietnemese?
You are very close.
Thailand?
slow donkey :dozey:
Correct.Quote:

I don't know what the Thai for khao pad [donkey] is - but I'm sure it's delicious!
poo is chicken
moo is pork
high dung is prawn ?
I'll try the moo thankyouverymuch :p :
Yes, "khao pad moo" is fried rice with pork
I think I'll allow google for the last two bits.
"khao pad poo" is straightforward, but it's not prawn as that's "gai". You'll have to be a little creative for "khao pad [high dung]" - try to get the "high" bit first
high = "gai" ?
fried rice with chicken dung? :facelick:
poo = beef
high dung = fish
:?:
Sorry, I thought I had answered this yesterday but I obviously didn't upload it.
You're thinking along the right lines but "High" isn't "Gai" it's another word that sounds similar/rhymes, andQuote:

"poo" isn't beef, it's something else.Quote:

Time to allow using Google is to finish this one off
So we are looking for looking for
"Khao pad [poo]" = fried rice and ?
and
"Khao pad [something that sounds like "high"] [something that vaguely sound like "dung"] = Fried rice and ? and ?
I'm not googling just yet! :crazy:
poo = mushroom
dung = egg
:?:
"No" and "No but related"
What my ......(croatian town )is happening here? The poo thing reduced this thread to silence.

so we get
cowpat poo = khao pad poo = fried rice with crab
cowpat moo = Khao pad moo = fried rice with pork (Yes, I'd expect 'moo' to be beef, but it's pork)
cowpat high dung = khao pad khai dao = fried rice with egg (khai) and with a fried egg on top (dao)
I apologise for the last one - I remembered it as wrongly as "khai dang"
Schmenke got Thailand and donKey jote got "moo" so I think either can post the next one.
I was close with the dung, wasn’t I? :mark:
Anyhoo, I’ll beat donks to the punch:
BOB and JOE may sound like close friends but the airports to which these IATA designation codes are assigned are quite distant. Name the countries where you'll find them.
how exciting, another airport Q ! :dozey: :p
@D-Type: Itihaas in Birmingham fleet street... the best Indian food I've ever tasted :facelick: :D
Unfortunately I didn't have time for more :(
We'd better start with continents. ;)
Asia and Africa?
No and no :p :
its called Itihaas (history) for a reason :p : :erm:Quote:

Nope :)
JOE is closer to (in more ways than one ;) to your neck of the woods whirrywhirry.
And TBH, I'm not sure which continent BOB is in... ;)
In more ways than one, eh? I wish I knew what you meant by that. :)
Maybe there's a JOE in Russia? A Joseph Stalin International Airport. :p
And could BOB then be in Istanbul?
JOE is not in Russia, but close.
BOB is still rather distant from Istanbul. I believe BOB was recently mentioned in a previous post :)
JOE is in Estonia?
BOB is in Africa?
JOE is not Estonia, but close.
BOB is quite distant from Africa, although flip flops and shades would be recommended.
JOE in Latvia ?
BOB in South America ?
:dozey:
No and non.
JOE is close to Latvia, and even closer (as Edgar flies) to Estonia, but borders neither.
BOB has no land borders.
JOE in Finland?
BOB in Australia?
JOE = Joensuu, Finland :up:
BOB is not Australia, but you're in the generally in the right part of the world. Think much smaller. A hypothetical 4-digit code would probably be BOBO.
Bobo.....
Bora Bora?
