Well you know how it is, I came upstairs to get some more work done and said, "well I'll just check the forums and see if anything interesting is going on" I'll bet I can waste a good 30-45 minutes now :p : Damn You Phoenix, Chris & "Name That Car!"
Next Photo coming up in a few minutes.
For whatever reason, the attachment upload screen is not pulling up for me, if someone else wants to go, go right ahead.

You've got it!
No trick though, I think it's from 1961 practice, but I'm not 100% sure. Did they test at Indy in 1960 after Watkins Glen?
Anyway, it's the start of the rear-engine revolution and without getting political probably the seed of the "split" between midget/sprint racers and formula/road racers.
your point about the begining of the split is probably right - although previous European "invasions" did not lead to such dire things (heck, the Offy is really pretty closely based on the 1914 Peugeot.....
Anyhow, here's a new one:

As for the name - could be  those are some pretty big machines there in the background....
For those of you who are into home audio, Adcom makes power amplifiers with the name "GFA-###". A friend of mine had a tour of the production facility years ago and asked what the "GFA" stood for and was told - "great F****ng amp".....
