It seems to me like Mikkelsen is just slowing down a bit. Team orders I suppose... It is normal, Ogier is their number one driver, and they need both cars to do the kms and gain experience for the teamQuote:

Mikkelsen has made his point and proved his speed and ability.
No point throwing that away. They get to play again in a few weeks in Acropolis.
In a way that's what makes these long events a bit crap. Here we are on Saturday, with still a long Sunday to go, and unless mechanical incidents occur, the length of the event isn't really going to add too much. It's just longer for everyone to have to wait for the result in a world were people's attention spans are time to watch/ follow is less and less.
Ogier takes the lead... like a boss.. today he was faster everywhere.
Benito Guerra lying 2nd in PWRC“I was a little bit panic, we got a top speed of 230 kph in these last 2 corners… A little bit scary… The car is perfect.”
i like these longer rallies, but it is way to less manu/teams and good drivers to make it interesting! 10 yrs ago, this had been something real good!
now its just to sit down, take a beer (or"bear", for us with wife's) and wait for someone to make a mistake.
Seems like the VW Skodas is putting on some brakes.. Petter was some 22sec faster than last run, Neuville almost 50sec faster. In the Fabias Mikkelsen only 5 sec faster than this morning,
Ogier 11sec faster
VW are in test mode. Comparing different setups.
Big-ish time gaps for a SSS - what sort of Superspecial is it if it's 6km long?
Interesting which chances for Solberg won ONE race in this year?
I hope Neuville will be able to take 6th position on today's monster stage :mark:

Does the first stage start at 12pm BST today?
Yes, but the other guys who stayed on the road during leg one started behind Petter :)Quote:

4 minutes to start.I doubt if Petter can pass the fabias without problem, and if they continue at same pace as yesterday.5th place they said is very optimistic for Petter.
If Solberg does get past the Skodas, could Ford use team orders to get Solberg up to 3rd?
I havent followed the WRC very carefully last years, but are the new WRCs (1,6l) slower or have the S2000s become faster?Quote:

Longest stage in the championship coming up? Expecting some drama in the top ten..
First splits coming :)
s2000 are way faster than N4 cars.No comparison at all.Quote:

What would happen if Loeb was slow through the stage and Hirvonen was fast, would Hirvonen need to give the win to Loeb?
100% yes
Hypothetical - better to stick with reality. I don't think Petter will move up too much today
No, Ford chose even Sordo above Østberg, the winner of the most recent WRC rally in Portugal.Quote:
