If he tries that, he will go off like the rest... I doubt that anyone will push too hard from now on.Quote:

Its not a problem of cars but in my opinion it is much more a problem of the missing endurance factor in novadays rallying. They are used to drive too fast to finish in special conditions like this when from time to time they appear (like in Argentina 2009 or which year it was when Rautenbach finished 4th with 20 minutes gap).Quote:

The Finn crashed his Fiesta RS WRC off the road close to the end of the opening stage this morning. It had been hoped that the Finn might get the car back on the road, but the police in the stage are not allowing spectators to help.
A Ford spokesman said: "Jari-Matti reported that he hit a rock in a corner, which threw him off the road. The car is at 45 degrees in a ditch and it's not going to be possible to get it back on the road. We don't know what the damage is to the suspension, or the rest of the car."

In the old days the problem was spectators´grazyness, now I think the organizers have chosen roads which are too risky for wet conditions.Quote:

Maybe it would be possible with so many people but in Portugal they don't let You help anyhow. Very strict marshals and police as I heard...Quote:

Until the road driveable with normal rally car the question just to adapt the speed to the grip. It's still the case I think.Quote:

plus having 50 people in a ditch pushing a car is not exactly safe while the rally goes on.Quote:
