Hello Czech friends,
I have a strange question for you... why is it than whenever I am reading a story about Skoda in Czech, and I use Google translate it translates "Superb Combi" into "Rally Finland"??
Thanks :)
lol, I tried myself and it seems like a joke to me :D
Strange :D
Meanwhile we have another close battle on Sumava, except this time it is with 4 drivers as Tarabus has joined in... although there seems to be a bit of a split developing already Kresta/Valousek & Pech/Tarabus.
A lot of inboard videos from first leg Rally Sumava http://www.mediasport.cz/rally-cz/onboard-videa :)
How come both Kresta and Pech had a five second penalty in overall results? Does somebody know the reason for that?
Nice battle for the lead again and also for the 3rd place. :) Great to see suspense in S1600 too.
Valousek is extending his lead a little bit on the first stage, but without the five second penalty for Kresta they are only 0.3 sec apart. :)
Pech is loosing quite a bit of time compared to Tarabus, who is now well on the third step of the podium.
I am afraid there are problems for Pech. He has only a 7th time in SS8 and even worse in SS9.
He had only rwd. Now it looks fixed.
One more stage , 4,6 sec between Valda and Kresta !
Czech has republic has the best fights this year , no doubt
The winner will be known in a few minutes ...
Valda 00:04:37.3 !
Valda wins by another 1,4 sec , fantastic fight as usual !
So, second win in a row for Valda, again after a great fight with Kresta. The diffrence between them is again very small, especially when you take away the 5 sec penalty for Kresta, only difference would be 1 sec.
Pech wasn't able this time to fight with his two companions this time.

Thank you, PLuto.
I must say that this year the fight is great and from what I could see live on stages both in Šumava and Valašská Pech and Kresta are taking quite a big risk and can't drive faster, Valoušek in my opinion can. He looks much calmer and there is also visible that Fabia is much more stable over bumpy roads.
Tarabus had problems with alternator belt (classic problem for Fiesta) and than with prop-shaft bearing. He was very lucky because both occurred just before service. In first case he reached service with very low battery voltage (7V).Quote:

Next round of Czech Rallysprint Championship and first round of Lausitz Cup - Rally Lužické Hory next weekend.
Entry list with 156 crews contains 5 WRC cars, 2 S2000, lots of Trabants etc. :) There are some interesting guests from Germany and Poland like especially Mathias Kahle with Octavia WRC.
Official website: http://www.frogfrog.de/
Entry list: http://www.frogfrog.de/info/StartovniListina2010.pdf

It looks like the rallysprint championship is interester than the rally championship ( from the number of the crews - 156  ).
Yes, there are many reasons for that - most of them in fact financial.
Rallysprints are much shorter (cca 70 km of stages)
Entry fee is lower
Event takes less days
HANS is mandatory for WRC, S2000, N4 and S1600 only while in "big" champ for all cars
Cars with experided homologation, national homologation or in same cases without homologation are allowed
WRC and A8 are allowed
Thanks for the explanation Mirek :) ! I didn' t know some of these things.Quote:
