2 stages to go and 1.6 sec separating Ucci and Travaglia... impressive batle for the frist place... it's a pitty that Rox made a spin and lost a lot of time.. this could be a a 3 drivers fight for the first place...

What a battle!!! :bounce:
Unfortunately, another bad event from Abarth... :( :(
[double post]
When was the last time Travi won an event??
At the beginning of the year he won Rally Ciocco, but it was during the boycot by Fiat and Peugeot.
Now he is a single leader of CIR!
Scandola probably crashed, stage stopped.
He really tested our patience... Fortunately the crew ok!Quote:

Congratulations to Renato and Lorenzo :)
Congratulations to Travaglia also from my side, he was the fastest this week-end (and without any spins or punctures..)
Especially I'm happy that privat 207 won so important race-this is a think, which makes also CIR and IRC much more atractive than WRC!! Therefore no excuses for privat S2000 cars in IRC-yust driving skills, courage, good tyre choice, some luck and throtle to the bottom! Look Travaglia.....
Travaglia was great..

I was wondering when S2000s would at last take the best over "single" S1600s on rally Tartufo(it took 3 stages before Tiziano Borsa takes a light advantage in front of Alex Bocchio) :mark:
Retirement for Swiss Laurent Luyet(mechanical pb on his Abarth Grande Punto) :(
Ucci's work..

Kristian Sohlberg will compete in Rally Costa Smeralda with an Impreza Turbo Diesel.
Rudy Michelini was excluded from finish result at Rally Friuli(he was 7th) :(
I think it has to do with changing tires in forbidden zone(what happened to Loeb at WRC/Monte-Carlo 2002)
The Rally del Tartufo, what happened Fabio Carossa?

Longhi was quite far behind, what happend? I saw he had an off on shakedown (same place as Roxx last year)
Without the wheel, Ucci is not far from Travaghlia...
He said he still must learn the car, he had some brake problems and had not so much confidence after the off on the shakedown.Quote:

Looks like Abarth is calling Anton Alen to complete a three-works effort at Costa Smeralda(gravel round the italian championship)
Nice pictures

One hell of a job from Renato Travaglia! Congratulations!
Crash of Scandola. Nothing big but together with engine problems from previous stage, he was stucked on the road.

Despite such a fantastic win, sad news came from Renato Travaglia after the rally. The Italian star announced that Rally Costa Smeralda will be his last event this year, because he doesn't have enough money to finish the season. He won't drive Sanremo and Como. What a pity!!!! :(

Edit: take care of http://www.rallycostasmeralda.com/
Unfortunately no Travi :-(Quote:

Damn ... good drivers don't take a chance even when they're winning ... it's sad.
No in fact Renato Travaglia will run Costa Smeralda with #1 !!! :)
Maybe he is only on entry list, as you must send entry much earlier?
Where is the entry list?
One more Skoda for Costa Smeralda - driven by 2008 Russian Champion Alexander Zheludov
Were can u see the starting list?? I think there should be an interesting driver from Finland, at least there was a press-release...Quote:
