Since last year we're seeing a renovated interest in Portuguese championship, somehow connected with the recovery of the car market. Citroėn has officially entered this year with Fontes and Meireles has also some support from the Skoda importer. Both cars are run by the strong Sports&You team. The other title contenders (Moura and Barros) are privateers, but got proper technical structures (ARC Sport and P&B Racing). Martins and Alves are outsiders with their S2000 Fabias and ex champ Lopes always performs well in his Impreza R4. Like Andre said, Vieira (911) is new to rally (former racing GT champion) but has already proved to be fast in tarmac rounds.
