Amberg has been fast all day too.
I had an awesome rally day, great atmosphere, nice people, compact route and no hurry - really pleasurable, made me remember why I love this sport so much. :) Only minus was some camera troubles, damn battery somehow failed! Luckily I managed to DIY-repair it. Really embarrasing moment to film video with my sister's Canon Ixus... Can't help laughing to it now though. :D
Car number 101... Marko Mänty, with an "old" Civic seriously kicking ass - 3rd overall, that's insane! In 4WD, pretty much the usual story. Lappi and Ferm secured their first championship win with a great performance. Check out this big moment (and the reactions ;) ) on the final stage: EPL Incar Merikarvia 2012 - Printsport Pictures Salo ran into small technical problems as driveshaft failed on the last stage, losing about half a minute. Nikaras once again showed great speed but on SS5 the road wasn't enough, going off, first hitting rocks and the head on to a tree, quite bad damage to the car.
In 2WD, Mänty's speed was incredible. Jaro Kinnunen with new codriver, for some reason, lost a lot, not at his usual level, I don't know what was the main reason. In smaller FWD category SM3 Amberg/Heikkinen were dominant, no real threat from anyone else during the rally.
My (improvised :P) video coming tomorrow.
could somebody post a link to the results please? thx

CAUTION! If you are crash sensitive, don't open that link ;)
There are sadly only two top drivers in 4wd championship ( + Nikara outside of the championship) after Pajunen ran out of money. Sad to see such great championship being in as bad state as the WRC.
Isn't it as simple as the requirement for Homologated car and homologated parts makes them too expensive to keep running?Quote:
