First besttime for a Citroen coming up or will PG make it?
One more confirmation of Ogier´s raw talent. He has the least experience in snow of all at the top, and his performance (considering start position) is really good.
It is first besttime for a Citroen and it is for Ogier ;)
3rd fastest for PGQuote:

WRC onboard camera guys have installed the internal onboard camera a bit too high on some Fiestas. Ofcourse the rollcage defines what camera positions are available but I'm sure they'll get better angles during the season, looked like few possible bars in a better position..
I think this little "turnaround" on stage 6 could be due to tires, destroyed by gravel ... It looks like Sebs used two new tires for this stage, others are saving them on the next stage - lets see if i am right
Petter and Ogier have saved tyre for next stage, maybe more.Quote:

Last stage of the day is live, what can we expect. ;)
We can expect conservative approach from Östberg, attack from PG, fading tyres and maybe a puncture or two because the road is quite worn... :)
Puncture for Loeb.
Puncture for Loeb, lost a lot of time again!
puncture for loeb
Latvala 1.10 min faster :)
Does anyone know what happened to Kangur?
...end of the world is coming .... who remembers any puncture for Seb sr.?Quote:

Edit - Back up finally.
Looks like Loeb picked up all the bad luck he could today...
I can't even imagine what he's thinking right now... The favourite man of ms. Fortuna for the last few years having a great amount of difficulties. I guess the favourite word inside the DS3 is now "merde". :DQuote:

Mads Řstberg leading after day 1.. Well you cant complain this has not been an exiting rally so far.
Are we seeing a tendency of the Michelins beeing less reliable than what the Pirellis were?
Before Monte, Petter was worried about all the punctures they got during the pre event test. Does anyone know if the Michelin winter tyres are lighter than what the Pirrelis were? I know the tarmac tyres weigh less and subseqently are less reliable(probably...)
1, 3, 5 from Norway
2, 4 from Finland
Nordic domination as we have not seen for quite a long time.
New WRC cars: good reliability so far, all of them at the end with no real trouble.
Michelins used in IRC are completely different construction. WRC tyres are made under same regulations as Pirelli were so for sure they are heavier than tyres from IRC (tarmac WRC Pirelli compared to IRC BFG was 2-3 kg difference).Quote:

Winds of change at the start of the season... finally some excitment
SEMERÁD M. / ERNST M. (st. č. 26) Smashed windscreen "Classical things if you pushing and locking lightpod on hood. We drove 2 km with it, but then we had to stop and fix it."
Very, Very, very exciting day. Looks like during the second pass first starters had even some advantage (maybe less gravel and less pressure for the studs). So, game on for tomorrow. Stage wins 6:1 to Ford, lets see how it changes tomorrow.
Looks, that Michelin tires are bit more fragile indeed or just Loeb used his tires on previous stage a bit too much. So, we have had three punctures for WRCars in first day, that is quite a lot. Well, Maybe the tires are indeed lighter (than last year) because Michelin has some competition by Chinese tire company. Pirelli didn't had any competition last year and the made really stony tires (they didn't need to worry about any competition and performance was not so important).
Ahahah, great commentary by JM and Miikka in the video when the car is constanly sliding from one snowbank to another. :D
M: Do we have a flat tyre?
J: No... I don't believe.
M: Ok.. It's something else then.
J: No, this is just sooo slippery!
M: REALLY?! (with "no sh*t Sherlock" intonation :D )
Pretty please and sugar on the top.... I've been at the dark side of the moon today and currently at work. Can someone tell me something about Ketomaa??
Looks like Expert Logos have appeared on the sides of Henning car. Look at Honza picture nr 15 ...and it was pic 34 without expert in shakedown
Ketomaa not in this rally. Ketomäki however hit snowbank and damaged cooler and lost oil on the engine and retired.
