And if Michelin is better? Arctic is important too for him, it is not a test. And also maybe there are different rulles in national champ than in WRC in case of spyke length...

Four S2000s on entrylist of this coming week-end's Rally dei Castelli romani(Italy) :D :D
Tonino di Cosimo(Grande Punto)
Claudio de Cecco(207)
Fabio Mezzatesta(Grande Punto)
Marco Cassara(Grande Punto)
No news on the Toyota of Grifone? What about Fontana, what will he do in 08?
Rumours say that he is interested to repeat his ERC campaign again, but that's what I heard a long time ago.
The only thing I know about Grifone is that Didier Autiol will do several IRC events with their car. They wonder if to use new Auris or Punto since they said Corolla to be too down on power especialy on tarmac. It is hard to make a tip which rallys he will compete in because his Madagaskar rallying has only one date colision with IRC - Sanremo.
Of course it will be based on the new Fiesta, but a lot of the basis and lessons identified can be carried across !Quote:

I hope Peugeot-Sport Greece is alsa planning a 207 S2000 for 2008...
Aris Vovos already run in two rallies in Greece with Procar Grande Punto. Unfortunately at the second one, Paladio Rally in December, he had a serious accident. Vovos fell in coma after he hardly hit a wall and four next crews did not stop at his car, although the codriver El Em was showing them the SOS sign.
The original article: http://www.autosport.cz/clanek.php?cl=5887
Three of the crews lost their racing licenses for 2008, the fourth one has two-year warning, because they apologised and admitted their failure just after the rally.
Tom206wrc: As Karbonyl wrote, it is not about test but about the story of that december crash...
Anyway Suzuki confirmed SX4 S2000. Their first start should be PWRC New Zaeland.
Hey Mirek mate, where did you see that announcement from Suzuki? I search everywere...
Anyways, another S2000... cool :D
One article is on http://www.autosport.cz, but it is in Czech (author is Karbonyl :D ), something could be also found on rallye-magazin.de I think. Tajima said they wanted to homologate the car at 1st July and make a debut on PWRC New Zaeland.

Yes, both rallies counting for Greek Tarmac Rally Cup, Kentavros rally and Paladion rally (where he had the very bad accident).Quote:

I've never seen a violet S2000 before :p :
Yep!
http://img.rallyonline.pl/news2/2008...ejenie_460.jpg
It's a car from hungarian team TRT and was used last year by Janos Toth and Bryan Bouffier.
Another photo:

It's car from Tagai Racing Technology Hungary.
Thanks for the info Karbonyl ;)
Has the TRT team one or two S2000 cars ???
I think one.
This is a smart move from Suzuki !
If/when the new WRC rules stating that a WRC car has to be based on a S2000 car will come intio effect - they will have a big advantage, and a lot of data to work from.
I am impressed, but thinks this has been part of the plan since they got the new thoughts of FIA, just before they finished the new SX4 WRC.
And it will be interessting to see what gearbox solution they are going for, and how their S2000 will match the other ones in speed, and reliability ?
For IRC this is a good day for more reasons:
Monte Carlo confirmed as an IRC event from 2009 !
Rally-Live.com will since loosing WRC, start focusing much more on IRC !
All in all, a good day for the S2000 fans !!!
It looks like Vitor Pascoal and Miguel Campos managed to get budget for 207 S2000 on the 2008 portuguese rallies championship

First pics of the 207 S2000 being built at Peugeot-Sport Portugal for Alexandre Camacho on http://www.ralismadeira.com :D :D
Very nice!! :)Quote:

I think tommorow they can hardly compete with a car that is currently 5th. :D
Nothing important and nothing new - there is written, that Kopecky is not entering this year's WRChamp, because his team stopped the project of starts with Fabia WRCand is waiting for new Fabia S2K... Jan says he probably will enter some czech rallys with old Fabia Kit as in previous season. He also speaks about Martin Prokop being one of the biggest favourites in JWRC 2008 and wishes him reaching some engage in WRC car.Quote:

Both the Grande Punto driver and the 207 driver won two stages since the start of rally ;)
But the two other Grande Punto drivers are more off the pace now :mark:
Yes, he is testing driver for Fabia S2000 :)Quote:

Three stages left to run...
These two drivers seem really above everyone else on that Rally Dei Castelli Romani ;)
Or perhaps they have the best cars :p :
Final victory at Rally Dei Castelli Romani for Tonino Di Cosimo(Grande Punto) for 2.9s ahead of Claudio De Cecco(207)!!!! :D
De Cecco was the fastest on most of the stages(6 stage wins for him and 3 stage wins for the winner)but gap were so small(not more than +4s maxi!!!)... ;)
Thanks a lot Karbonyl...
Can't wait for next "S2000 outing" of 2008, the Rajd Magurski in Poland :bounce:
What to expect from them, probably on snow ?? :p :
Vitor Pascoal confirmed that will use a 207 S2000 in 2008...
It will be the same process of Alexandre Camacho 207... they buy the car to Peugeot Sport, and Peugeot Portugal join all the parts...
