Just called Setanta to cancel and have been offered the next 3 months at £5 a month, instead of the £15 I have been paying. Wasted an off season during which I never watched Setanta once. Will see how much Busch/Nationwide whatever I will watch and decide on canceling in a couple of months. Dreading having to put up with either that blonde woman that does A1 or the bloke that does IRL at every add break....give me pure un edited incar anyday.
OK, let me just recap here and see if i have understood things correctly:
all sprint cup races will be shown live or as-live on sky sports, possibly without the pre-race shows.
all nationwide races and NASCAR now will be shown live or as-live on NASN or NASN 2
i do have a few questions, though:
1. will NASN or NASN 2 also show reruns (as-live) of the sprint cup series? cuz if they do keep the pre race show, i'd rather watch the races on tape delay, actually.
2. are Five going to show any NASCAR at all and, if so, what exactly?
3. does anybody know if five are going to show the NHRA Drag Racing shows again?
thanks!
From what I can see and having just cancelled my subscription to Setanta/NASN, they are only showing the NASCAR Now magazine show plus live coverage of the Nationwide Series. No Cup coverage is going to shown at all as Sky now have the contract to show it.
I'm REALLY hoping Sky can offer good coverage and not use their own presenters too often. These races require full US build-up coverage and I just hope that the powers that be see that and give us fans what we want.
It would be awesome if Sky decided to show some NASCAR on one of their HD channels, though
I'm just glad i'm going to £15 better off without my Setanta supscription..
why not support Nationwide/Busch too?
Sky have apparently been promoting NASCAR alot (I've seen one excellent trailer for it)- they're coverage of IRL has been excellent (those races I've watched)- my only concern is the huge number of ad breaks each NASCAR race has- are we gonna have ad breaks every 5 minutes as well?? I'm not so bothered about the pre-race shows, they tended to drag a bit with all the ad-breaksQuote:

Well all true NASCAR fans will, I presume. I certainly will.Quote:

Well there is an HD feed to Europe so there are no excuses for Sky not showing NASCAR Sprint in HD.Quote:
