Here we go. Sibsport (Simon Blanckley) car revealed. Ex-Howell machine. http://btcc.net/html/generalnews_detail.php?id=409
car looks good in pre-dominantly white, will be intersting if Simon can prove himself by running with the pro's as he states is his aim, good to see another entry.
what happens with the BTC cars in future season, how long will they be allowed to run alongside S2000 for?
I'm not sure if they'll be 'banned' eventually or they'll just gradually fall out of the championship because they aren't a competitive proposition anymore.
They can't win the championship - thus no-ones are going to be developed.
Simon Blanckley sold his house to race in the championship? That's commitment. At least he isn't a stranger to touring cars have raced in one in the Euro Saloons.

there is no doubt that this years grid is going to be bolstered by the fact that a lot of relatively competitive BTC spec cars have become available relativley cheaply to entrants who don't harbour ambitions of winning the title but want to be part of the show, whilst the existing teams move to S2000 spec.
My fear is that these guys will find themselves excluded again in a year or 2 if and when BTC cars are outlawed altogether and they have to invest in more expensive S2000 cars. i hope that by then there will be a greater sprerad of competitive second hand machinery available, which should be the case as long as the likes of Vauxhall and Dynamics are building their own cars and moving to new cars and models each season, plus the ex WTCC cars and any new manufacturers.

Yes, but there will be bucket loads of S2000 specification cars by then in the UK.Quote:

Its actually 20 confirmed cars now. My guess of 30 may not be too far out at this rate, with numerous programs still to be announced
