just lost my mom, im not going to participate in the "Jon-ArmyStrong" team for the weekend! hoping for the best result this weekend! cheers fellas
Just looking at these stunning views and challenging roads, clearly it needs to be instated in the WRC as season finale (and if not at least as a european Autumn/Winter slot).
Epic roads in beautiful scenery and especially Y Diafol. What a test of car and driver !
Great to see the M-Sport Ford Fiesta's are 1-2 - they can still beat the newer Skoda's and Toyota's ! ;)
Wow! That was close! Hot moment for Jon! :O

When was the last time when two Fiestas were leading a rally?

Looks like a big off for Matulka, very fast section. Crew OK
Shame for McRae. His bad luck has returned with avengance.
Allen with a big shunt as well, looks like weekend over. Crew OK
Allen has retired / superrallied on every single ERC round this year, always on day 1... he crashes so often that I'm starting to get worried for him.
Another 1-2 for the M-Sport Fiesta guys on the second run of the long one, Y Diafol. They've now extended their gap to the rest to 17.5 sec.
Yeah, the 33-km-long Y Diafol took its toll. 3 retirements in top 10 - Matulka, Allen and McRae.
I feel sorry especially for Matulka, who is a young, promising and already fast driver. Unfortunately, it seems he tries to be faster too quickly. It's his 3rd roll this season.
Allen crash:

Another engine fire for Devine. A real pity as he hasnt been able to show his true pace here.
And this wasnt supposed to be Ingram's car, so I bet he's glad he pulled his drive !
Great morning by Armstrong with 2/2 stage wins and a brilliant call by his weather man for a full dry tyre package.
It turns out this fine for Mabellini is very light. After 10 stages him and Marczyk are just 4 points apart:

Very interesting interview with Jon (& Shane) on everything that went into getting the victory in Rally Ceredigion:

This is also on youtube as well ;

I don't know why but I quite often remember when he won the Hyundai i20 in eSports WRC and in his victory speech he said he'd sell it. Probably not what they had in mind Jon lol.
Polish ERC3 driver Kowalczyk calls Armstrong a true rallying role model :)

The Rally Croatia entry list proves that there is something fundamentally unattractive about Rali Ceredigion to crews from Europe.
Last round of the season, only three drivers with a chance of winning, so you’d think the entry list would be worse than Wales, and it’s completely the opposite.
I attended Rali Ceredigion, and thought it was well organised for spectators, but inevitably I had no answer to my friends when they asked why there were so few entries in the ERC.
Not trying to be negative, I just fear if this is not addressed the ERC will opt for a more popular event in future, which will be disappointing.
Furthermore, there are 28 Rally2 cars, and only 1 is a Croatian crew in Croatia.
Without the UK and Ireland entries, there were 4 Rally2 European crews in Wales.
I am telling it all the time - for ERC competitors Rali Ceredigion is the most expensive round in terms of costs (and also logistics due to ferry, customs issue, id/passport issues etc) so it is first event to cut. And to say the truth, lot of drivers in Croatia is doing it mainly as a test for WRC Croatia 2026...
The only fair way to compare would be to move Ceredigion to be one of the early events in the year. And UK Motorsport could provide some funding for ferry costs etc like the other island events did.
