I mean, there are lot of fields and open room so it shouldn't be a problem to acces?

Watching these test videos… the rally should’ve been next week, 4 weeks is too long! Yes I’m aware it’s kind of part of their summer break but…if they want to get 14 events in next year, they need to have a good look at the calendar.
I've been to WRC Poland every year it was run, but my memory is not too good, but I believe you are more or less "forced" to park in huge organised areas (where you also show you have a ticket), which could still be like 500 meters from the stage itself and then it is up to you if you stay in the spectator zone or walk further into the stage. I remember some smaller roads being guarded by police and not allowing access. Maybe not all of them though.
Thanks guys, probably going to look in some Orlen stations or drive to Mikolajki

Including Mārtiņš Sesks:
“I’m really excited to be back competing in Poland! We have some great memories here, especially after winning the ERC round last year! For sure this year is a completely different game, this will be our first event in a Rally1 car. The testing we did last week was something incredible, and a completely different experience to anything I’ve done before! The car reacts so quickly, and how fast it goes round corners is just so unique and indescribable to anyone who hasn’t driven the car.
"It will be a big challenge to get up to speed, but this is the goal for Poland. We will be driving non-hybrid to get use to the aerodynamics of the car, get to know the team and to get more and more ready to be in good shape for Latvia. The goal is to get the mileage, finish the rally and learn as much as we can.”
Fourmaux confident but testing was a compromise:

Ogier and Landais taken to medical checks after an incident on recce

Hopefully all okay and they can continue!

Luckily doesn’t so sound serious but..
The accident occurred on a hill on a section of a gravel road. The rally car was driven by French driver Sébastien Ogier, next to him he had a pilot. A woman and a passenger were driving a passenger.
For now, it is not known why the cars collided. Two helicopters of the air ambulance arrived on the scene - they took the driver of the rally car and the woman who was driving the passenger car. The other two people were taken to the hospital by ambulance. All of them are suspected of spinal and chest injuries.
Hope all are ok.
Looks quite a nasty one...

From the crews point of view, you’d like to think the recce cars are pretty much a decent spec rally car, obviously no helmets etc on.
From the locals point of view, it’s another thing against rallying. Should we just go back to using maps and no recce? ;)
He will probably withdraw? No way they mess around with spinal injuries
Pajari could get the call, he is there and doing recce so would be best placed.
Anyone not at the event could do it I guess but would miss recce, unless so eobe doing recce only is in a position to step in.
The Recce is already ongoing, it's a bit too late for the call.
Even if Ogier is ok from the health point of view, he still needs recce. If he can not do that, he can not fight for the win, and the win is the only goal for Ogier.
Can they even swap if Pajari wasn't in the entry list?
22.4 CHANGE OF COMPETITOR AND/OR CREW MEMBER(S)
A change of competitor is permitted up to the close of entries.
After the close of entries, one member of the crew may be
replaced with the agreement of:
– the organisers, before the start of the administrative
checks.
– the Stewards, after the commencement of these checks and
before the publication of the start list.
Only the FIA may authorise the replacement of both crew
members or the competitor after the close of entries.
But better if it is not needed.
If Ogier missed today's recce, then I dont know how he could start the rally
It’s down to the stewards/FIA, but could either be a change of both crew, or if already on the list then just a car/class change. Of course you’d have to be very surprised if they wouldn’t allow it.
But let’s wait for more info and see what needs to happened. Whatever, its not a good day really.
Depends how much they had already done, P1 crews start earlier than others. As I said above if they are good to go then they could keep going until recce closes, I’m sure they’d be allowed. Then piece together the bits they missed, they might have been on 2nd run (faster) when the accident happened.
I just can’t really see it, especially if there are two others hurt (potentially badly) and its bound to affect you.
If he had his belts on he should be fine. The issue is missing recce.

If Toyota can allow Pajari to start then its still big loss for them. Katsuta not reliable driver and Evans not in a TOP form. Ogier just carrying Toyota whole year.
I mean by looking at the damaged cars and where they are, looks like Ogier was cutting/on inside of a left hander, so my initial guess is that he was at fault. So obviously depending on the injuries sustained in the other car, there could be police investigations continuing? Maybe Toyota won’t want any publicity about it by him continuing in the event?
I've heard that they both are OK. I've also heard that taking part in a rally is not excluded. PZM (Polish Motorsport Association) is very keen on Seb's start and ending the story with a happy ending
Crash happened on road used for saturday Gołdap stage, between Włosty and Skocze villages, I am not sure exactly where but it must be between 7:00 and 9:00 minute on this reece video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tA8OerY0y0A
Going for "medical checks" rather than treatment sounds like it's more of a precaution than anything.
But if his spine is hurting they may pull out as there are many big jumps in Poland.
I'm hearing that Seb want to go. They are waiting for a green light from FIA (I've heard that there is some procedure in the event of an accident on recce). However, I don't know if it's true. My friend who is in Mikolajki told me this. Let's hope they are ok and they will start :)
