I will be also there – that’s the only WRC event where I can sleep at home – so it’s quite near. I will try to catch some PET too. Then I will go to Herbst Rallye to cheer for old Semperit Rallye days and for Tänak. During rally week I’m there form Wednesday until Sunday. Maybe I will try to watch some recce on Monday as well. A few rally days ahead. We will see how it goes…

So we are planning to go only on Friday, anybody knows if one should buy parking tickets as well or if field parking along the road is possible/permitted in the area of the stages?
I think that you shouldn't care about parking right now, you can park basically everywhere (on the edge of the road, organizators will make some field parking for 5eur and maybe some local guys can let you park for some money).. But you have to be atleast hour before stage starts, if you won't be there on time, than you have to park quite farQuote:

So two separate stages or two passes of one stage? Our current plan is to watch SS3, SS5 and SS6 and SS8. But I still need to check the map if it is feasible to find spots where one can leave early enough from the stage. If not I guess two passes of one stage and one pass of another in between would be nice.Quote:

The borderland area, where most of the stages are, is basically low mountains with deep forests, small villages, old castles and plenty of hikers and bikers. I have myself hiked 100 km through there this summer. There is nothing to be afraid of, there are not even any bears, dangerous spiders or snakes there ;)
Hah! I got ripped off by taxi drivers in Prague. Many years ago now, and it was my first trip to a foreign country as an adult. Didn't have internet to use and didn't look up any map. I remember taking the taxi to the same place a couple times. But then by walking later, realised it was just a short 1km walk, while the taxi driver took a long detour and charged a lot for it. Judging by the time to travel, I had assumed it was at least 10km away. It is a very nice city though :)Quote:

really difficult to predict the winner cause we dont know anything.
Ogier and Neuville are always very strong on tarmac, Tänak aced Rally Germany back in the day and has been good at Rally Croatia the last two years. The two title contenders Evans and Rovanperä i think will be more cautious in the beginning, although Evans needs a lot of points to still keep the title hopes alive.
Will be an interesting one, thats sure.
Rovanperä and Neuville have some considerable local experience even though not directly with these stages.
Rovanpera started once in Czechia (on Rally Bohemia) back in 2019.. Overall I think that Ogier and Neuville are most experienced on these roads (Both are born in central europe, practicing on tarmac from young ages).. But we have to consider Kalle's starting position. It will be key here..
