1. Ogier driver's champion
2. Hyundai constructor's champion
3. Paddon does not finish a rally in a WRC1
4. Ogier retires at the end of the year as scheduled
5. Lappi does better than Suuninen
1-Lappi will beat Sunninen hands down
2-Evans will win one
3-Tanak will beat Neuville over the season - the more as season progresses (and Neuvième will crash several times while trying)
4-Paddon will enter NZ and will finally get to the start
5-Tanak will beat Ogier for the title
1 Ogier and Hyundai are the champions
2 Neuville beats Tanak by 3 points to be 2nd. Again.
3 Rovanpera doesn't get higher than P3 in a rally
4 Toyota will change 2 out of 3 drivers at the end of the year
5 Meeke does a couple of rallies in an R5, but not in a WRC.
1. Both championships still open when Rally Japan starts
2. We get a new driver to WDC top-3
3. 1-2 finish for Finns in Rally Finland
4. A C3 WRC will finish a rally in podium
5. A new manufacturer announces plans for WRC 2022
1 Evans will have more points than Ogier after the first two rallys.
2 Lappi will finish second on the Monte.
3 Evans will finish 3rd overall in WDC.
4 Latvala will finish 2nd in Sweden.
5 Breen will drive for Hyundai in Wales and finish on the podium.
1. Ogier will have the WDC won so early in the season everybody will say rallying has got boring again.
2. Neuville Faster than Tanak and people will say wait until Tanak gets used to the car, then the car is built around Neuville he cant go any faster.
3. A driver that has not yet signed for a team will win a rally.
4. Rovanpera will win at least one rally.
5. Tanak will go crying back to Toyota to try and get his old seat back.
with a 1 2 3 4 5 imbedded in 1 2 3 4 5
1. Retained - Ott Tanak defends his WDC and elects to use no 1 in 2021
2. Returning - Seb Marshall codrives for 2 different drivers in WRC cars during season
3. Competitive - 3rd place less than 13.3 seconds from winner creating closest podium since Acropolis 2011
4. Bombshell - Adamo drops Seb Loeb to a 4th car for one event
5. Multiple winners - 5 drivers will win a rally in 2020
1 - Evans will shine at Toyota with only 1 or 2 poor events, will win at least 1 event.
2 - Rovanpera will crash more than Meeke, and won't be as fast
3 - Breen will be in a WRC car for at least 3 events (I predicted the same for 2019 :) )
4 - A round will be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances (possibly nature again)
5 - Paddon will enter and finish on the podium in Rally NZ
1. Someone will win
2. Many will lose
3. Ogier will play games
4. Tanak will have regrets and say "basically" many times throughout the year
5. It will snow in Sweden and the rally will NOT be canceled
6. Lappi will win an event
7. Adamo will give many big hugs to his team
Cmon. Try a bit harder.
1) Ogier powers to the title and thanks Tanak publicly, because it's all Ott's doing (moving to Hyundai and basically handing Ogier a seat in the Yaris). Estonia realises Tanak has been a mug, so half of his fans crawl into hibernation until 2021 comes around.
2) Despite Ogier winning the title, 3 Toyota's will retire from mechanical failure on the same rally, prompting NOT to finally stop lurking and post again. His first post back doesn't really need me to introduce it - but for those on here who are either new or a bit slow - his post will contain the now renowned "Village Team" term.
3) Suninen and Lappi become romantically involved with eachother after spending countless quiet evenings drowning their sorrows, upon realising Kalle is already on the same level/ better than the both of them.
4) Evans wins an event (his 1st proper without a massive tyre advantage), but has an overall up and down season. However, David Evans proclaims 2021 will be Elfyn's year and he can win the championship after a solid end to the 2020 campaign.
5) MKnight will spend the 2020 season trawling through this thread and using peoples predictions against them in any arguments/ debates/ differing of opinions that naturally pop up on this forum ;)
Yes, you won a point already.
The reason is very simple. Some people make predictions here and 1 month later deny they ever said something like that. This is the easiest place to find it in a few seconds.
You romantic prediction will be brought up every time an interesting picture comes up from that camp.
Weird to read that all of a sudden Tänak can't drive in 2020 anymore and Ogier is already WDC.. like Tänak would have to drive a R5 car this year + all the **** talk about him regretting the team change in his comments.
Hyundai had a lot of issues with set up even this year despite pure speed is OK (great, actually). Don´t look at Neuville, look at second best Hyundai each rally and its speed. And now look at speed of second best Toyota. And now look at speed of Ogier in comparison with Lappi. And I assume Lappi is not the slowest driver there. ...All and all it is tricky decision to switch from Toyota to Hyundai. Even speed of Ford is much more predictable...Pure speed not as good as Hyundai and Toyota, but good handling which means you can drive for 4th or 5th place when it suits you.
Most still believe we will have the same top 3 in the championship as the last few years.
So it's not that tanak suddenly can't drive anymore, it's just that ogier suddenly seems to be in the fastest car and tanak in the most difficult one to drive with neuville as his teammate.
Mikkelsen (-3 rallies) and Sordo (-5 rallies) didn't do even the full program and one was ahead of JML and Meeke while Sordo was only 9 pts behind 2nd best Toyota. Sordo even did manage to snatch a win while other Toyota's were nowhere near a win. Should I go on...
While I admit Hyundai seem to be more difficult to set up you paint a very dark picture which is not backed up by stats. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...8e0e126614.jpg

1. Drivers' title to be decided at the last round, while the manufacturers' will be decided earlier.
2. Rovanpera to get a podium during the season
3. Surprise C3 WRC programme with someone
4. Loeb to have at least 1 podium
5. Latvala to retire at the end of the year
Sorry but even after 35 years of racing and rally I still have a hard time seeing differences of 0,01% in speed... Maybe it's my advanced age. Maybe its something else but the differences between the cars and drivers do amount to fractions of 1% and that is hard to look at and see. Maybe I need better glasses???
1. Another rally will get cancelled this year
2. Hyundai will score their first podium in Finland
3. M-Sport's new engine will reward them handsomely with a couple of wins after its introduction
4. Adamo will bench Neuville 1 rally
5. Ogier will announce mid season he's doing DTM and Le Mans next year
1. More WRC cars on the stages (overall) than last season.
2. Both Suninen and Lappi fight for wins in several events.
3. Sordo to win another event.
4. Safari Rally becomes a complete failure, remembering us why this country lost it's place in WRC.
5. 3-way fight for the title until the penultimate event.
1. Ogier will be champion.
2. No one outside of Ogier, Tanak & Neuville will break into the top 3.
3. Evans will be the only other rally winner outside championship’s the top 3.
4. Rovanpera’s position in the Toyota team will be questioned by the media in the first half of the season due to poor results/crashes. Podium finishes in the second half of the season will see him then hailed as the best thing since sliced bread.
5. Meeke will develop the R5/Rally2 Yaris for Toyota/TMR but will only drive it twice in the WRC - at Wales Rally GB and Rally Japan after winning the British Rally Championship in a Toyota GB supported Yaris in R4 kit/Rally2 kit form, though the R5/Rally2 will be homologated in time for the final round in September.
I meant on this forum
My Crystal ball 2020:
1 Loeb to win one event.
2 Neuville WDC
3 MSport on podium more than 50% of the season...
4 Ogier wins Rally Finland
5 JML on podium at one occasion or more.
And pls, put comments to Pub-thread..not here...
1. Ogier will take his 7th WRC title
2. Hyundai will win the Manufacturer´s title
3. Only Ogier, Neuville & Tänak will win in 2020
4. Kalle Rovanperä will take his 1st Podium during the WRC 2020
5. No Citroën C3 WRC during the WRC 2020
Following on from my successful crystal ball 19' predictions
1. Drivers championship goes down to the wire with Ogier, Tanak and Neuville all tied on points going into the last round.
2. At the last round Toyotas wheel problems rear their ugly head again, and Ogier breaks a rim on the first day putting him out of championship contention. Mrs Ogier takes to Twitter and pronounces the Yaris a piece of shit. Ogier retires.
3. Due to the circumstances mentioned in #2 team orders come into play at hyundai with Adamo allowing the driver that gives him the best compliment about the pasta carbonara he serves them at final lunch break to take the spoils.
4. Or, in the slim chance I may be wrong about my 3rd prediction, Adamo engineers it so that Neuville becomes 2020 champion, thus preventing Toyota from signing Neuville for 2021 and keeping the top drivers within his squad.
5. Despite a couple of strong results, JML's hopes of signing for Toyota again for 2021 are fruitless, as he is now seen as a paying driver. 3rd seat goes to Meeke, in a deal set out a year before as part of Ogier taking his seat in 2020. Meeke sites it as best chance for a championship as Ogier will be retired, hence the lack of information around his contract negotiations and a continued loyalty to Toyota throughout 2020.
Do not expect any predictions from Sebastian Vettel
