Really hope the Iriz R5 is competitive but I doubt it if its anything like the ones in Galway.
Although Mellors has won the Cambrian Rally in the past which should help here.
Yeah, shame. I was going to do both. I think the Cambrian will be fine, weather looks nice in the morning. Really looking forward to the Cambrian, surprisingly good entry with a number of talking points. Personally I'm particularly interested to see how well Osian can do. And of course the Protons. I think Cave will win.
I bet the FC were gutted having to cancel the event.......and remarkable that they are sure the wind speed will be greater than 47mph.
I feel sorry for the organisers, who are unlikely to get another date this year.
Looking forward to the Cambrian; was originally going to Penmachno, but now it's only running once, I'll go to Gwydyr.
IIRC the FC in Yorkshire haven't historically been the most rally friendly division...
No, I quite agree....quite different from Wales...

Good first day in the new car! A credit to @msportltd. Very different in a lot of ways to MK1 but already feel comfortable. Looking forward to getting going now against some stiff competition !

Matt Edwards with a stall on the line of SS1 losing 3.3s to Cave. Could be crucial in a close battle.
Shame for Cave losing 3mins on SS3. Thats the win chance gone.
Comfortable win for Edwards after Cave lost the time.
Nice to see the Fiesta R5 Mkll beating the latest Hyundai's. ;)

Where Cave broke the wheel:

Nice little event with a great R5 entry, we were lucky with the weather. I think we can deduce from this event that the Proton is at least reasonably competitive. I can imagine Oliver Mellors being about a minute and a half down on Matt Edwards in equal machinery. Unfortunate for Cave, but not a rare mistake. That stage (Penmachno) seemed to claim a lot of victims though.
From the videos I've watched the Proton looked pretty nimble. But on the hills and out of corners it did seem down on power compared to the other R5's.
Price switches to a VW Polo R5 from the West Cork Rally !
Nice West Cork Rally entry:
9 x Ford Fiesta R5’s
6 x Hyundai i20 R5’s
4 x Ford Fiesta MkII R5’s
4 x Proton Iriz R5’s
4 x VW Polo GTI R5’s
1 x Citroen C3 R5
1 x Citroen DS3 R5
Almost a dozen R2 cars
20+ Class 14 modified cars
20+ Class 13 modified cars
And a sprinkling of World Rally Cars

Is Fabia Rally2 EVO not accepted ?
Car has to be 2019 model or older ?
29 R5s and not a single Skoda!? How weird...
West Cork Rally is 137 miles over two days and 14 Stages... that's more like it ! :)
Just a shame that it’s not reasonable to expect that on the British rounds of the British Rally Championship ☹️
Interesting to see which tyres Craig Breen is on, esp if its the MRF's...
Breen confirmed he would speak to Adamo and ask them the develop a special Irish tarmac set-up for the i20. This would help R5 sales there even more.
West Cork Rally postponed now. :(
Corbeau Rally has just been cancelled and Wales Rally GB announced as the new season finale https://www.dirtfish.com/rally/brc/r...vent-canceled/
Ulster Rally is called off now. It's looking grim for the 2020 BRC & ITRC. :(
Personally I hope the BRC follow the way of the ITRC. While the BRC title has already been rather tarnished by circumstances over recent years, I don't see how even the ever positive MSUK propaganda machine could legitimise the awarding of the British title on the back of a Championship that will either largely or wholly have taken place over a few rounds in North Wales!
Ypres postponed.
New hope for BRC 2020... :)

Some BRC news coming tomorrow: https://twitter.com/BRCrally/status/1338921663619096583
Maybe they'll announce the amazing, revolutionary news that none of the BRC rounds will take place in GB in 2021... :D
I think if it were me in charge I'd run a high profile, in-house organised rally sprint championship in 2021 before relaunching a proper championship in 2022.
