Νοrdgren crashed again at ss 10
Seems like a civil car going the opposite way. Horrible. Luckily no injuries
Why was SS11 also canceled?
SS 11 cancelled due to time issues, SS 12 and 13 should be done.
Any local TV of the Golden Stages ?
Magalhaes looks like he will take the lead of the ERC ahead of Lukyanuk if he finishes.
Winning of Bruno in Acropolis was quite surprise. But winner of Cyprus Rally is a shock.
@FIAERC
Simos Galatariotis wins Cyprus rally despite a puncture. He wins for 0.6' over Bruno Magalhaes! Incredible stuff!
Just shows you never know what will happen...
Close finish!
Very sensible drive by Bruno on these two rallies, a lot of points collected.

What a great rally again - See you in 2019
Halfway stage in the season and unexpectedly we still have a title battle.
Speed vs Consistency... which will win ? Will be fun to find out.
Very embarrasing for the organizer.
Surprised more isnt being reported about the Nordgren incident. Shocking to happen any time, but on such a major event should be a big story.
I'm especially glad Lukyanuk wasnt the victim after his horror crash in testing that was quite similar...
Juuso just shared a link to official statement form the ogranisers on his social media accounts. I was expecting a bit more. https://www.fiaerc.com/statement-fro...ly-organisers/
What else do you expect from organiser? For sure it is really bad thing that it happened. But it happened and you cannot take it back. It is up to organiser to investigate how and why this happened and make things not to repeat same mistake in the future. For this things, you dont need to solve it through media...
It has happend before and it will happen again (and it actually happen quite often but in most cases there is no accident). The problem is that if there is someone stupid enough and really willing to go in the stage he can do that. It's often impossible to stop him. It can be a true mistake of the organization like if they forget to tape some small access road but usually someone simply forces his way into the stage and in such case the marshal simply can't stop a car by his body (or it can be somewhere without marshals).
I dont know this exact place, but I remember stages in Cyprus from previous years. There are some access roads, but plenty of open area, where cars are normally go on the field, out of the road. So they can enter the stage from anywhere...
I always had that question why to put such stages in a rally when there are proper roads. In safety terms is suicide...
Ok, I can understand in Middle East, but Cyprus has enough proper SS.
Nordgren and Suominen crash with road car. recovery stage 10 - tow truck
https://youtu.be/roLDNXBdLPA
https://youtu.be/K-coaLqe2Jk stage 9 crash
It even happened in the Tour of Flandres, the biggest bike race in Belgium...
Sometimes you cannot win stupidity. In Acropolis, there were people standing just half a metre away from the point cars were landing after a big jump just to take a selfie... People shout at them but they will do their thing.
Another one from Herczig:

It’s an interesting rally, very mixed with some super fast sections (rare to see a Fabia topping out) combined with some very rough sections.
Herczig had done a good job on these two rough gravel rallies.

I understand it this way: There is no datalogger except homologated allowed in R5 and FIA simply considered an onboard camera equipped with an accelerometer as a way to by-pass the rules for collecting the data.
And what about those onboard videos on ERC's official Youtube channel, with some data?
Is that the homologated datalogger?
Those are not data from an accelerometer, only GPS.
