I expect big surprise from spanish champion Cristian Garcia.
What car local fans mostly want to see on this year Canarias Rally? If you’re thinking at any of the top R5’s used by ERC aces you’re wrong; all eyes will be on local champ JM Ponce and his new rally beast…the Seat JTR S600!!!

Tubular proto built in Almeria (spain) by JTR Racing, using the iconic Seat 600 body and a Suzuki Hayabusa bike engine (205hp for 615kg). It’s been used in hill climbing races and Ponce (a celebrated M3 driver) is apparently making its debut on a rally. Best luck for him. Can’t wait for the videos!

Habaj has just crashed in FP:

Luky fastest on qually... Kajto only 5th .
Where is max rendina??
Rendina is 19th ;)
I think starting position there is not that important, as in general there is no cutting, so roads stay clean. Some drivers saved the tires and it might be more important in long term.
Habaj not starting after crash during FP. His start in Acropolis is not sure also now.

It is sometimes funny how two drivers see the same stage in a completely different way. Just look at Magalhaes and Kajetanowicz after SS2:
Kajetanowicz: It was a very exciting stage. Tarmac is so adhesive, tyres are amazing, it is unbelievable.
Magalhăes: It was very slippery, I did not expect it. I tried to do it good but it was very difficult for me.
Good job that barrier was there !

The Peugeots are going well but this smooth tarmac is their natural territory.

Zawada takes 5.4s out of Ingram on SS2 ! Maybe Ingram destroyed his tyres on that first stage charge ?
Great pace by Karel Kupec so far. It's his second major foreign event.
Lukyanuk wins all 3 stages so far, but he gets 10 seconds penalty on SS2 and is only 3 seconds before Kajto now.
Vallejo and Burgo are even slower. On the other hand Ares is doing very well.
I must say this crash is very well documented. Kasperczyk has never been that famous ;)
