On Tuesday 25th April I traveled 12 hours by long distance bus from Mendoza to Cordoba. Final section of trip was from Mina Clavero over El Condor and then thru Villa Carlos Paz. On highest sections of road near El Condor you could see a small amount of snow. I do not think it was recent snow more likely residual amount from snow melt.
it is abnormally cold nowadays in Cordoba mountains.
Temperatures below 0 expected in Mina Clavero and El Condor (arround -5°C), so not snow, but some isolated ice patches in gravel may be found (not such a problem for drivers as gravel keep enought traction and car, yes for spectators staying all night up there!!)

so finally is citroen that has put stickers at Subaru badges at recce cars.Lefebvres here.

So do we think if might be a disadvantage for Meeke and Paddon running far back? Or will there still be a huge amount of cleaning?

You can see the results of shakedown also here: https://rally-base.com/2017/rally-ar...41&ssGroupId=3
#Shakedown at @rallyargentina stopped due to a spectator requiring medical attention. #WRC

So it's not an accident related to a rally car.Quote:
Shakedown stopped. A spectator need medical assistance as a result of a Cardiac decompensation, to 400m of the arrival.
I can't say much other than that in Buenos Aires it's fucking cold rn.
Quick question: does anyone know how early I have to arrive at a stage to drive into it? I'm planning on going to Los Gigantes, Tanti and el Condor and I'd much rather not freeze my ass off by walking 3km into the Sierras.

Don't see any reason for it. He was 5-6 in passes 2-3 with Hyundais being clearly fastest.
Looking on Shakedown times 1st pass often doesn't mean that much cause some drivers just try to check out the stage not risking anything, similarly passes over 3rd are imo very biased by knowing every single corner and taking more daring lines than you would not take in a stage.
how are road conditions for friday? any road cleaning?

Ogier
"There may not be any objective reason for this, it has often been a very small thing, so I'm not worried about it at all. Previous years, leaving before, I was necessarily not in the best position. We are going again in front of the first day, I hope that the rain will have somewhat reduced the sweeping phenomenon, "Sébastien Ogier pointed out to our microphone.
The world champion also confirms the general impression of the peloton: "The rally is going to be very demanding for the cars, the Shakedown was in a broken state, it was survival, it is not very fun to drive in Such conditions. "
Leader of the current championship, the 33-year-old Frenchman knows music. "I do not think it's a lot of the risk, but I think it's a lot of the lottery," he said. Some specials, I think, will have to lift a little foot in the brittle portions, "he analyzed at the micro of our colleague Olivier Gaspard, special envoy of the RTBF in Argentina.
Before concluding, on the final podium of the Argentine test. "There are a lot of drivers that are fast this season, especially since other parameters are taken into account on this course, I hope to be in any case," he said. Said the Ford driver.
Gilsoul
"The field is very rugged in Argentina, it's actually the most difficult test for the mechanics because the terrain is destroyed, it seems like a little bit in Kenya in places, but the winner of the rally will not necessarily be the The speed of the car, when it is possible, and the car when it is necessary. The body is sometimes touched but it is make-up, it is just for laughter. The vital organs: we must be sure that they will pass through. This is the first year of cars, some parts have been reviewed, "explained Nicolas Gilsoul, co-driver of Thierry Neuville at Hyundai, on the microphone of our colleague Olivier Gaspard, special envoy of the RTBF in Argentina.
The Belgian crew never managed to catch better than fifth place on the Argentinian roads: "We were perhaps lacking a little wisdom and maturity, but we have grown well and we want to reverse this trend. We want to do the best possible operation at the level of the general, without focusing on victory. It's better to be a living chick than a dead hero
Judging by reliability so far, I'm guessing Toyota will benefit from the fall of at least one Fiesta and one C3.

Hopefully Citroen have the set up right. If they do Meeke is the fastest man in the wrc, but if it's slighty off Meeke plunges down the time sheets and will have an off trying to push too hard. Seems like there's very little margin for error on the set up of that C3. When they get it right it's blindingly quick, but when it's wrong it becomes undriveable...
Hope they will continue this tradition of broadcasting local feeds on wrc+
Ain't bad at all. A language I don't understand, meaning I don't get annoyed over everything said, fully functional feed of the stage otherwise (not that the SSS is the best thing since pre sliced bread... But hey).

I like how you state that Meeke is fastest as a fact and if not its the setup (or the car). To me he is the most over-hyped out of the top 5, which are close to each other in terms of pure speed (those 5 are in no particular order: Ogier, Neuville, Meek, Latvala, Mikkelsen).
In pure results for Meek: best champ. placement - 5th, number of rallies won - 4 (all of them gravel rallies where he started way down the order on first day). He doesn't shine in terms of stage wins either, even compared to teammates.
Sure he is good, but fastest man in wrc. Cmon....
Another stupid boring mickey mouse stage...
Not being able to hear the cars is awful...
Seriously Mads?
